Now that we know what metamorphic rocks are, and how they form, let's go over the types of metamorphism. The various pressures and temperatures that can be involved in this process determine the type of metamorphic rock that will form, so let's go over all of these sets of conditions and get a sense of it all works.

50,000 atmospheres of pressure and 1,000 deg C - sounds like a pretty uncomfortable place to hang out. Out of curiosity, how long would it take graphite under these conditions to metamorphose into diamond? Years? Decades? Centuries? Millenia? Maybe even Eons?

I hope my poor language helps me deliver my thoughts about this video and the more recent previous ones. Due to your enormous efforts and dedication of delivering such high-quality, well studied and illustrated content, i can say that because of you, i now know about scientific facts which otherwise would've been obscure to me. You have filled a gap in my understanding for various topics especially mineralogy (which i was bothering you a lot with my very inquisitive character😅) and for that no amount of thanks will give you the appreciation you deserve but at least, you're providing priceless content for generations to come and that's by itself a huge achievement you only worthy of 😊

Huh, I usually never read about geology, but today I got interested in how sedimentary rocks are formed, and then metamorphic rocks. And this video comes out. Weird coincidence.

I read somewhere that you are not a Professor, nor have a PHD, only a BA degree for which you were unsuccessful in getting a Masters, on more than one attempt. Please debunk this for us.
