This is probably relevant to any card game. I just love wheeling and dealing. If I absolutely get destroyed at locals, it's usually redeemed if I get to do some trades. Collecting is a dangerous hobby.

I got my playset of Borsa blockers back when 2 was the brand new set. I mean like a week after 2 dropped brand new. I remember debating with myself if I "Really wanted to spend $7 per Borsa" Glad I did. Anyway, the best W I ever got from a trade was a friend and I got some random Wings of the Captain packs. I pulled alt art Nami (Yellow) and he pulled the Alt Art Moria 8 cost. He said he already had those and he was looking for yellow stuff. I offered him a simple 1 for 1 since I never play yellow (And never will) and he agreed. We both got the alts we wanted and both left that trade pretty happy.

I admit I have a bad habit of being the homie. I tend to just give away sr I don't use unless they are, like, 20+ € in price (and even then, it has happened in the past). My wallet always cries when it happens.

I legit feel like I’m the forgetter AND the broke boi at the same time 😂 I will never forget the first time I stepped into an LGS while a OP tournament was about to happen and a random guy just gave me probably 25 cards to complete my Rebecca deck and then was just like “yeah you don’t need to give me anything for it” then obliterated me with Katakuri 😂😂 best experience I’ve had in the community so far I think.

I don't have a huge collection, but i do want to buy a second binder, soon, to have all my "for trade" stuff in. I tend to feel horrible by how few things in binder are for sale, sometimes. Then again, the "bulk" of "for sale" cards i have tends to be very...meh. Like sure, can't wait for OP6 Shanks to skyrocket in price, cause i got 3 of 'em, but that doesn't seem to be anytime soon

The lowball price is still a good offer. After fees on tcg and taxes you will probly make less in the long run. Plus the price could always plummet

He was asking for 30% off which is a bit steep. Usually TCGplayer fees and taxes is equal to around 12-15% of the price. I should of made it crazier though for comedic effect haha

The way I optimize a deal is discrepancies are paid in cash. So say, I have 130 in value and I only want something in 90 value. Pay me 40 and were even. Sometimes its the other way around too. I want more from others so I end up paying them the discrepancies. If trades only then, someone jas to give because I am just going to continuously optimize. Ahahah.

Makes sense, I do the same thing in terms of paying/ receiving the difference in value. It usually is the most efficient solution!

I pulled a Sec Bon Clay, the other day, and immediately put him up for sale, for 30 euro, which is around the normal price. The guy really wanted to do 25, so i obliged, but just wanted something extra there. First off, i asked for a play-set of Be My Samurai, since i was too late for OP01, which would be like, maybe a euro at most altogether? Didn't have it, so i asked if he had a special Don to trade in, outside of numbered set ones. Still nothing. I asked for a Brook SR, nothing, but he did say he had a Cavendish, so i said alright. Cavendish is like, 5-6 euro atm, so....yeah.

They are a rare but very valuable type of person. It’s hard nowadays with how scare one piece product is nowadays. Some normal SRs are pretty expensive 🙃
