@deadfall84758 ай бұрын
As a 30 year veteran of the Food Beverage and Hospitality business, who just found this video, you couldn't be more correct. I had a table of foreigners one night at this super big resort restaurant i worked at. they ran up a $900 bill, stayed 2 hours past closing, all got separate checks in a party of 15, and left no tips. But, what they did leave, on their table, along with all the food they wanted boxed, was a few sets of car keys for the rental they had. I'm not exactly sure what happened, but, the table got bused the boxed food got tossed and so did the car keys. Into the 55 gallon restaurant trash, that then went out into the dumpsters. Not sure how they might've gotten mixed in with the plates and drink glasses and togo boxes littering the table, but by the time they came looking for the keys, i was clocked out and on my way hope. Cardinal rule people. People who work this type of business, especially for long periods of time, they aren't stable. Dont F*uck with the peole who handle your food, or, leave your keys on the table for 20 minutes after being a douche. 🙃Also, i love this channel.

I worked in a restaurant once where I was having a discussion with the manager while going to the walk in refrigerator for items I needed to prep. I opened the door and the guy who washed our pots and pans was on the floor looking dazed while 4 or 5 cans of whipped cream were scattered around him. He's been huffing the nitrous oxide in the cans. The manager just made a gesture like "Whatcha gonna do?" and fired the guy. I couldn't stop laughing.

I remember I had one co-worker that straight up would never do even a moderate portion of the work he was assigned, mouth off to the managers, and SOMEHOW got away with sexually assaulting four people. I'm pretty sure it was because his dad was a lawyer and his dad and our business' building's owner were friends. This dude would literally just fuck the day up of any shift he was assigned to. Thankfully he quit, and I can happily say it was my fault that he did.

This co worker wasn’t worthless but I want to talk about her because she would come in clutch a lot. So I used to work at a mini golf place the job was alright but we got paid minimum wage and the boss was a b****. It was two people per shift and we basically did nothing because it would be busy then nobody would come in for hours. Whenever I had the same shift as this one co worker I knew if there was a Karen I was up for a show. She would cuss them out and tell them to leave and stuff and it was the funniest thing. One time we had two Karen’s the same night one was really mad because we forgot to turn on the lights. So, she was mad because she couldn’t see. She could’ve been calm and asked us to turn it on but nope she did the opposite and there was this other woman who came in as we were closing because she looked at the website. The website was so wrong and then she also complained. The job was kind of fun but there were more cons than pros to it.

There was one kid who I worked with at Staples who just absolutely hated my guts. Some scrawny little Shaggy from Scooby Doo looking dude who was either high or pissed off because he wasn't high. He was in sales and I was in ops (working stock for those who don't know) and I'm convinced he hated my ass because I had the best sales numbers out of everyone in the store according to one of our managers. One day a customer came up and we were at the top of the stairs. We had all the aisles on the second floor and all the registers were on the first floor, stupid layout I know. So this guy who came up asked if we had a certain item in stock and I told him it was out and maybe try checking online. Now, admittedly, I do struggle with communicating verbally so sometimes how I say things doesn't always match how I think I'm saying it. Basically I was just being honest about what we had and didn't have but I guess I could've been "nicer" apparently, whatever that means? Anyway this kid got real fucking pissed and went off on me for it as if he was my manager. Saying shit like "look if I came up and you said that to me I would've slapped the shit outta you. Hell I might just slap the shit outta you right now if you do that shit again." On one hand, being threatened in the work place isn't something I enjoy dealing with. On the other hand I was twice this kid's size and have been going to the gym for about a month and some change. I just didn't wanna risk losing my job since I was able to hold it through covid. But they ended up cutting my hours so low and wanted to work the same times I had classes so I left. Glad I did since I work as an assistant manager at an escape room now.
