My favorite is the extremely old man. Comes in same time without fail, can barely walk from station to station, has absolutely perfect form, and struggles against a 5 pound weight with the fervor of an Olympian going for the gold. I watched you for months fighting against the march of time just to go from 3 lbs to 5 and it was one of the reasons I didn't stop going either. Rock on old man

speaking of old man, theres this 65 yo dude in the gym im goin to, jacked af i didnt know much about the machine and the gym, asked the dude, dude showed me how to use the machine, then he go like "ay put more weights cmon" i was terrified and refused, but shit kept me motivated even now 😭

There is a God Tier subclass of old people you're missing, and they're not all that uncommon. There's some people in their 70's and 80's, and they come in, do good form and work with what they can, and go home. When I see them hitting a bench I can't help counting in my head how many reps they're on and rooting for them to get another in. The older people I've encountered have all been very polite and leaving people alone. Some of them are cool, and I honestly wish they were more chatty, I wonder what they do it for. We're all gonna get there one day (hopefully). God I want to see a Ninye video when he's 80! Probably smoking more than ever!

I'm the rare breed of highschooler that normally goes alone and gets along with everybody at the gym😂. And I actually have a good split and don't only do chest lol. I go with people sometimes, max three people total, and we try not to hog any pieces of equipment.

I think you forgot one other type: the sweaty tryhard. A combination of the stoic and the guy who is always there. I never bothered to discover what type of gym person I am until the cruise I was on a week ago. It was the first time ever seeing a relatively crowded environment. But I discovered that I always come in at around early afternoon with 7-8 hours of sleep prior and attended 8/10 days for the duration of the cruise. But I have to admit I do have bad habits such as not wiping down the equipment after I am done and I sweat A LOT. The only thing I really do is put a towel on the headrest of the bench or seat of whatever machine I am using
