This videos covers how DNA and RNA vaccines work, including mRNA vaccines that are designed to target the SARS-CoV-2 virus (COVID19). It also covers how viral vaccines work.

Thank you Joe for uploading these videos! your reviews are so straightforward and make understanding Vaccine types easier on a curious ex medical science student ( it's been a while!) I truly appreciate the work you have put in to make this and put it up for public consumption :).

Great video. One advantage of DNA vaccines over mRNA vaccines is that they can be stored at normal fridge temperatures rather than deep freezing. This makes logistics easier. Plasmid technology should be helping with DNA based vaccines.

I took a tetanus vaccine do you think it can change my dna..they said tetanus vaccine has some kind of dna-methylation

The best vaccine would likely be the weakened virus vaccine ...

Hello sir. You have done great, thank you so much for helping us by uploading this lesson. By the way, would you mind including the toxoid vaccine and its example that will be great & fulfillment.

HI Joe nice Vid thanks, just a 2 questions. 1. When you say "DNA / RNA Vaccines are they the same thing i thought "moderna vaccine" was a mRNA and Pfizer was a "DNA Vaccine" 2. I know the DNA of humans is in the core of the cell protected from any external threat RNA injected our bodies but the mRNA protein response can that have any back manipulation of the human DNA and does it stop making the mRNA after a period of time or is it forever? Thanks again nice vid

there’s no such vaccine that’s made of DNA- very dangerous . RNA vaccine no such thing. mRNA yes... is a piece of genetic codes mainly to produce antibody against covid. Both companies vaccine made of mRNA.

1. They're both mRNA vaccines. 2. So the mRNA vaccine only ever reaches the cytoplasm of the cell and never the nucleus, and even if it did by some miracle go into the nucleus there is no way it can integrate into our genes, the enzymes needed for it aren't present. And since the mRNA is being delivered in a fat molecule, the mRNA is used up to make the protein and then it is gone, like a post it note. It lasts only for a few mins to a few days and once its made the spike protein its gone. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jofXaYubd7ljhqM

What will happen if the person who already has immunity for sars2 gets the vaccine? Does activation of Cytotoxic T cell can be much faster? Is a possibility of a cytotoxic reaction to myocytes?
@jaison7828
@jaison7828 3 жыл бұрын
If you have immunity to SARS2, your memory cells had been activated and spike proteins has already been produced and therefore nothing will happen but just regular vaccination side effects. Normally you will not get vaccinated if you already have the antibody against it but sars2 is too new and no guarantee that antibodies produced will last for awhile or not ...
