I'm old enough to have taken a class in high school called "typing" It was exciting because we had ELECTRIC typewriters!!!! It was either that class or Latin. Eloquence means it is perfected and as precisely applied as a Typewriter. The sleek and tactile motion keeps it moving all the way. It is good to be as continuos as a typewriter, pause is editing, laughter is for genuine moments of grammar lapses, slips, as well as many ooops. Breathless and leaving one breathless is another statement. Begin yours, its worth to try the outstanding, missing technology, engineered and perfected.

Here's what he wrote: This is a beautiful orange 1970's Hermes Rocket typewriter with script font that I bought a few months ago from Craiglist and I am very happy to say that. I did. There are terrific little typewriters that type very well that have a very nice touch to them. They are quite similar to the Brother typewriters from this era but are still more style full. Unthanks to the plastic body though. But this typewriter types very nicely. I love the feel of the keys, and I really like the design of it. I can imagine that if this typewriter was metal that the quality would be absolutely terrific however, this is the way they were made and we just have to work with it. Hermes typewriters are terrific machines and I really enjoy using them. Their look and their mechanics both are terrific. Take the Hermes 3000, for example, which is a bigger bulkier older typewriter, yet it still has such a nice look to it. They also came with script font sometimes, but the one that I had didn't. None the less, these typewriters were made in a time that they were still build to last but were just before the time that the personal computer came, and that is why they were barely used.

I have 12 typewriters dating between the 1920’s- 1970’s. I type on them all pretty regularly but I must admit that my little Hermes Rocket is my favorite to type on. It’s super lightweight and fun to use. I picked up my first typewriter in the early 80’s from off a pile in the junkyard. I took it home, cleaned it up and fell in love.

Oh, no... You must be kidding... I had a similar model of Hermes typewriter back in my high school days. Same color as the one at the video, stolen from some Lovecraft's tale; remembering I had to use the letter L to replace the missing number 1 still brings me goosebumps, not to talk about the dismay I felt when I looked at that 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 sequence... And even when I could get over these then came that little triangular piece of metal at the middle that tended to rip the sheet you just typed if you didn't pull it properly backwards. But, well, at least finding someone who still enjoys it eased a little the damage that caused the recall of using that crap. Thanks 👍🏻

Sometimes you press to lightly and the escapement will trip but no type will appear on the page and continue on with your until you realize. This way you can go back. Its a script font and it is a lot of work to change the font (basically rebuilding the whole typebar assembly) however they did come with alternative fonts, most are just more rare than the standard typeface. Some newer typewriters have changable slugs on the typebars, and then ther are electric daisywheel printers that you can change the wheel easily to alternative fonts.

A silicone "Auto Dashboard Non-slip Pad" or closed-cell foam pad, A4 or letter sized, will give your typewriter more 'purchase' and stop it skidding left as it escapes, right as you sweep a new line, reduce the sound reflected, and generally make it a much more pleasant experience.
