Another good way is to do the Metro Kingdom festival over and over. You get around up to 275 coins in about a minute and a half. I've been switching off between Bowser's Kingdom method and Metro Kingdom for variety.

Thanks for the tips! I’m normally not a game completionist but I honestly adore this game so much that I’m looking for any reason to come back and play. Right now I’m focused on getting every costume. There’s also a trick in lake kingdom. There’s piles and piles of coins on top of a building inside the dome area in the center of town. Jump up there and get the coins, exit the dome into the water and then come back in, the coins have reset :)

For your second method, the frog coin thingy in the wooded kingdom, I think it's a bit faster to go down and up the moon rock pipe to reset the coins instead of teleporting :)

I created a kind of circuit in this area xD It starts with taking coins from the frog (38 coins when ground pounding it afterwards), then take the seed of that machine guy, bring it to the flowerpot which is up this exclamation button stairs (about 230 coins to grab there), when back I jump right down below the platform into the small area where the uproot is, capture it and take the 20 coins out of the grey blocks that are on the left and right outer sides of the wide block on the wall in direction to the flower field. Then I go up again, take the frog again, run it to the right edge where the yellow pole is, climb up on the roof above the entrance to the secret flower field where I spin cappy around me to get another 24 coins (they are hidden at first). In total it takes about 2.30 minutes for approx. 300 coins so like 10 minutes for 1200 coins. If you leave out the uproot and roof section, its ~9 minutes and like ~260 coins. Maybe this helps someone who also can't do too repetitive stuff over and over again like the methods in this video hahaha

​@@bamboochaLPPThat's the method I still use to farm my coins. And it's pretty organic as the seed for the bonua area is right beside the Coffer. Even though I don't do the Uproot part (it's kinda slow). So you kill the Coffer = 38 coins + the bonus area 230 coins if done right, and you get 268 coins in around 2 minutes. Also, a few steps from the Coffer there's a moon, which grants an additional 5 coins. So you get a total of 273 coins.

If you have a GameCube controller for the switch, I highly recommend using that for the bowser kingdom run, those little ridges the left analog stick has prevents it from slipping into other directions Edit: also for the Bowser Kingdom run thing, on your way back and forth from the seed to the flower pot, there are 2 crates, there is a coin and a heart in them, th heart gives 5-10 coins I think +1 so you can break those on your way back and forth

Just some general critique to make these techniques faster 1. in cap kingdom just to the left of the door you showed us there's about a dozen coins you can get, making the process significantly faster as it just takes about 2 extra seconds to get those coins 2. in the wooded kingdom, grab the moon each re-spawn, and ground pound the frog enemy for even more coin 3. in bowsers kingdom on the way to the vine, there's a few extra coins to pick up. thats just a small thing tho only trying to help coin farmers

Also, in bowser's kingdom, if you stop about halfway down through the run, you can grab the moon giving you 5 extra coins, but will add a few seconds as you'll have to realign Mario up perfectly with the 3 flowers to complete the run

For me, its always an unsure time, but the fastest overall, is Sand Kingdom Balloon World Coin Farming. I have gotten so many balloons, and have gotten big streaks, and have ended up with 9999 coins many, many times.

There's another way, it's not faster than the bowser method, but it could be easier to get, perhaps. In the Sand Kingdom, in the 8-bit area, there's the hidden passage with the Moon and 40 coins. If you only focus on the coins, it takes around 15s to get all the coins and back in the pipe. Once you pop out, immediately go back in to return to the hidden area, the coins respawn. It makes around 9600 coins per hour.

I have tried several coin farming techniques, with each one having its own drawbacks and benefits. The biggest drawback for each one was becoming repetitive after a couple of minutes. The Sky Coin Run seemed felt like the quickest method, but I did not time it be sure.

A good one that I found is in the Cascade Kingdom! There's a cap door you go through that has a T-Rex and a bunch of those little colorful spike guys, and you just run around as the T-Rex stomping them all. I think you can end with around 200 coins each time.

There is also a glitch you can do where if you hit one of the blocks at the right angle it multplies the coins coming out of it by 8 times at max

In the wooded kingdom flower field you, forgot to mention going up the beanstalk. You can get a whole bunch of coins up their. Grab the seed go up the platforms and plant it to make the bean stalk grow. Up where peach is standing. If you combine it with the frog you get a lot of coins. Much more than the first method. Bowser's kingdom method is good but you need a bit of skill.

For those who are still looking for another way you can do the New Donk Festival over and over. I collected every coin in the level and got 333, but you can easily get 300 everytime. Make sure you also enter the tunnel that takes you to the secret moon in the festival. This method takes me around under 3 mins to complete as well.

At 4:44, I find that it's easier to get those last few rings if you just grab the first two flowers (the bundle of three and the one in the center of the second set for a total of 4). This allows you to run out of the flower speed boost just as you're coming onto the final platform. It's slower than speeding through and doing the ground pound, but it gives you a lot more control so you can get those last rings more reliably. It's a matter of preference though.

Actually for the wooded kingdom one you can capture the coin coffer collect the power which is another 5 coins and then post game there will be a robot with a seed grab the seed then go over to where glydon is and there will be a spot where you can plant the seed plant it go up it and then get around another 200 coins if done correctly you would've got around 235 coins

Cascade Kingdom's Balloon World has a bunch of "inexperienced" hiders which gets me 9999 from 0 in about 15 min along with a good hiding spot that usually gets me 400+ coins before it gets popped.

To get alot coins in a short amount of time, I just play the Traditional Festival over and over. It takes a little more time then most methods, but you can get an easy 300 coins on several runs. It is best to have full health and be good at dodging the barrels because the hearts you pick up become extra coins. You might get tired of the Super Star song after a while, but if you mute it and/or listen to a different song, it becomes less distracting.

Best way to farm for coins is to go to wooded kingdom and use the seed to get up at the highest point where where glydon is at. And once you’re done up there, run back to the seed machine. There’s also an invisible frog nearby that you can get coins from. If you also wanna go above and beyond, fall in the lower level where glydon stands to use the flowers to run up the hill for extra coins. I did this method many times, and it got me coins so fast

I’ve found a great way to farm coins in lake kingdom, since there’s a lot of coin deposits and coin collecting opportunities in that kingdom. You get about 100 coins each reset but each one takes about 3 minutes

Was balloon world not a part of the game at launch? I just got Mario Odyssey, so I wouldn't know, but I find it to be OP in coin gains. It requires a fair amount of skill and playing at the right time of day, but I was able to get 9999 coins twice and then some in less than an hour by going to Cap Kingdom when it had the balloon world bonus. Plus you're not doing the same thing over and over. It's challenging in a fun way. If you just keep playing, then you'll learn where popular spots to put the balloons are. Any Kingdom will do , but I found Cap Kingdom particularly easy

Fyi if your good at maneuvering, Luigi balloons are the fastest way. I got 9999 multiple times from a range of 10-25 minutes. It saved me so much time!

I found a good place in Wooded Kingdom. You need to plant a seed up on the Observation Deck and it takes you to an area in the sky. There are loads of coins to gather. Just keep repeating it.

On a related note, here's the probably fastest way in Mario Modyssey: 1) Create a new sub-area. 2) Place a wall. 3) Place a pipe at the wall. 4) Within Cappy throw range from the pipe, in the direction Mario faces upon coming out of it, place a Coin Coffer. 5) Duplicate the sub-area. 6) Make the pipes connect to each other. 7) Add a way to enter this constellation from a kingdom, as well as a way to return. 8) Save and import your changes. 9) Go to these areas. 10) Capture the Coin Coffin. 11) As the coin stream ends, leave the Coin Coffin. 12) Optional: Stomp the Coin Coffin and collect the resulting coins. Not sure if it's faster with or without this. 13) Go through the pipe. 14) Repeat from step 10. Stop when you have enough coins. 15) Return to the kingdom's main area and use the coins for whatever you meant to do with them. (Maybe buy some modded costumes? I could imagine you can easily add them without replacing existing ones by now...) Speaking of which, it's been a while since I checked the channel, are you doing Odyssey mod showcases? Might be a cool idea!

EDIT: By the way, the main reason I'd consider this fast is that I think the out-of-game preparition in OdysseyEditor or a similar program doesn't really count. Also I'm not sure if coin stack coins get collected faster than Coin Coffer coins. If so, of course better use coin stacks. Man, kinda looking forward to see a whole Coin Kingdom filled with such methods dedicated to fast coin farming!

Here's MY fastest method: > You have to beat the game for this method, as you will unlock balloon world. > Go to any kingdom (preferably the double coin areas). > Startup balloon world. > Play the balloons hidden by level 0 balloon world players. > Try to get a finding streak, and keep leveling up. You get coins by leveling up! > This should take around 15 - 30 minutes.

Honerble mentions, balloon world and the trex thingy in cascade kingdom, it's a door ya know? After the oddesy is/was that place where the chain chomp was, go into the pipe come upp and behind that big rock there's a door. Open the door, take controll of the t-rex and beat the crap out of the little creatures there

Fyi, if it helps, I've found that you only need to capture the first and 2nd sets of rocket flowers on that secret in Bowser's castle. That way you will run out of boost on the last platform, and you don't have to worry about ground pounding to get the last circles of rings at the end.

You could also go to the dinosaur room in the cascade kingdom, you can do it first thing, and if you do it fast, you could get 9999 coins in around 1 hour 20 minutes.

I've been completing the game in fits and bursts since I got my system last year. I'm trying to 100% it now and was very disheartened to see the number of 9999 coin clothing items, especially since I'd only collected 8500 during my entire play through! These methods all time a reasonable amount of time and I'll do them last after I get the rest of the moons and purple coins. Thanks.

The fastest way for me is Luigi’s balloon world. Some tips for that are: Go to whatever kingdom the special is (there is always a kingdom that u get more coins for playing in) Hide your balloon in a medium difficulty spot Start “Find it” by looking for a harder balloon (the ones that will get u more coins) and then do easier ones so you get a good streak (streaks can get you A LOT of coins) If your good u can get 9999 coins in like 20 mins

not sure if this has been said already, but i think the peach's castle race is a faster coin method. if you do it right, you can win in 18 seconds, 100 coins each time you win, so 18x100= 1800 seconds, which is 30 minutes. not sure if its true i just thought it out while watching the video

I found a much faster way. When you capture the coin frog in Wooded Kingdom while you are collecting coins run to the grey pipe leading you to the parana plants. Then jump out of the pipe and repeat. It's faster than teleporting to the secret gardens flag because it cut's the time to run to the coin frog dramatically. 2. combine this coin coffer method with throwing the walnut on the Wooded Kingdom Observatory deck in a loop. There are 231 coins you can get with the bean sprout and 30 more you get when capturing the coin coffer. Then pull the lever for the walnut and repeat up to the observatory deck. A potential 261 coin loop.

I found another way which is great that also involved a nut! In wooded kingdom moon 47 (and 48) above the clouds.. it takes 1 min 35 secs to complete but nets you aprox 257 coins each run. You see the invisible coin frog thing near the nut giving bot, get the coins from that, then grab the nut, activate the way then to where you get moon 47 and complete that run. when the run is over and you get all of the coins, the coin frog thing resets then when you return. so this is one way as well which would net you 9999 coins in a good time

Another Method: Go to Metro Kingdom, talk to the guy in the New Donk City Hall, and play through the level while also collecting as many coins as possible I tried this before. It might take a while, but it should work
