Typhon Max8 G2 2500kv Motor Possible battery issue?

I noticed my xmaxx with the hobbywing max6 it didn't like a lipo I had and would cut out the same way after 5 minutes of use and I found one cell was down almost a full volt from the rest. And it was reading the dropped cell as the whole battery. I should add all cells read good before running but one cell who tank after 5 minutes

I always check my lipo, you don't when a cell go down, and that battery can be save, check the charger if they have the option to restore the cell to normal

My Max8 came with a 4cap cap pack. Ran it without and had the same problem. Have not had it wide open since I put the caps in though.

Found out after a run at the weekend 2x Turnigy 3s batteries are dead & I need to replace them. Only had them a few months so that sucks the fat one.

Awesome video Joe. Yes we all have batteries go bad. You know that combo will take 6s, but your gonna want to use a fan on the motor

I'm new, im looking for esc and motor for Arrma typhon. What is the different between 2250Kv and 2500 Kv? Which way should I go?

@@just719 250kv 😆 go with the new max 8 g2 you can't get a better system for the typhon , I have it in Mojave and twice the rotation mass . Still works good but summer it could run hit regular 2500kv will get hot on 6s

Brilliant video mate lots of power on 4s I've bought the team corally python on 6s that nuts too I'm running a 22t pinion gear when on 6s it's too fast 4s more better 😀👍

i really like turnigy heavy duty lipos. Good drive time, good balance and not expensive. I had more expernsive lipos who died waaaay faster but like you said. All part of the hobby

Had that issue with my hw max 6 esc sent it in to hw and they sent me a brand new one and then a month later my powerhobby 4s batteries I run only in my xmaxx took a crap, one blew as I was pulling out on the truck and the other dropped a cell
