Great video! Thanks for spotlighting the Zee battery line as there are many rc enthusiast that run these batteries in their rigs. There’s another list that has been compiled including all lipo batteries on the market today and Zee batteries tested very low. Don’t fall for the 100c rating cause all brands are not equal. The Zee 7200 mah batteries (hard case) are very good batteries.

All the CNHL that I've never changed above 1A of their capacity, and always kept in storage when not in use, have swollen without any visible damage on the outside, and had to throw away within two years of weekend use (not intensive). I've had for an additional year one of the shorty 4300mah 50C shorty, and that keeps on trucking with low resistance when charging, never overheats, hasn't puffed a bit, and gives solid performance.

@AsurasWrath164 Жыл бұрын
120 c out of such a small Pack is ridiculous! Not believable at all. You need a somewhat big pack to sustain such current. 120c means you could draw 2.2Ax120c=264A. 264Amps is downright ridiculous. If they would say 20-25c that would be probably right. Ever wonder why traxxas batteries are so conservative with their c ratings? Not saying they are good, because they are mediocre at best. But at least they don't overpromise with their ratings.

If you buy something for a good deal you can’t expect it to be great. That’s like buying an entry level subwoofer and expecting it to take a 10,000w rms amplifier. I run the 6500 & 7200 2s packs in my RC basher and after an initial cell balance on each they run almost identical charge times and charge rates. This is 6 different batteries and all the ones I bought as pairs are super balanced to each other. I just bought two of these 6s packs to try them in my basher Kraton. It shouldn’t be an issue and I got two of these for $107 shipped on a special sale from Zeee paired with an eBay coupon.

You need to take C ratings average after a run, room temp, maybe 50f and average them to get a real world idea of where and what your batteries can put out.
@RCexplained Жыл бұрын
Hello, thank you for the data. I understand what you are doing by manipulating IR using heat within the pack. The formula on the spreadsheet is setup to use the one reading obtained at the one minute mark of a charge cycle. In otherwords it already takes in to consideration the IR changes that will occur when the packs builds heat. I am looking to improve upon the spreadsheet in areas where I can get greater accuracy. Including, as did mention in the video, using an average IR vs peak IR. Have you also tested the maximum current rate that pushes your batteries just below the 60C / 140F mark?
