Although this whole interview is weird on Tyra's side and this conversation shouldn't have been made on tv but privately, i think that she had her reason.. Naomi is obviously on another level, but don't be ridiculous,all those things are things that Naomi could definitely have told and done.. Tyra seemed over the top here but i think that she really felt all those things and that Naomi or the industry mistreated her.. Naomi's behaviour is known not just from tyra but from many models and people kn the industry.. Obviously she is a legend but she hurt many people and Tyra probably was one of them

Naomi clearly didn't want to provide that and gave cryptic responses. Tyra SHOULD have respected that. Instead she asks her outright if it was sex abuse. That was SO out of line. Disgusting. As for the feud, Tyra claimed Naomi terrorised her, and she cited only 1 or 2 rude comments from Naomi, and the rest were rumours fed to her by others which she CHOSE to internalise. T Halsey but thats the key reason for their feud. Tyra said it in the very beginning. There wasn’t room for two black top models, and the industry purposely pitted them against each other as the established black top model and the new up and comer to replace her. Naomi and Tyra developed a problem when Naomi realised the industry was making Tyra into baby Naomi, when all she had was the industry. She was afraid of being replaced and being left with nothing.

I was Tyra after being bullied, bullying people, being the popular guy, people please and the class clown, goofy, cunning but intellectually gifted throughout most of my childhood & high school years. This caused me two suicide attempts, alcoholism and hidden depression. Then, I moved out of my hometown at 21, graduated with two degrees with honors and am stronger and grittier than I was at 21, year of my second attempt. It took me 8 years. I was a victim. I caused pain mercilessly to get even because I've been on the receiving end of abuse. I've been thrown around but I was great at getting revenge. I was funny but sly. I've munched people verbally to hide my pain. I was egotistical and I craved attention from everyone. Growing up as a gifted child, a spoiled brat, favored by his parents, being the youngest with ADHD and being so sensitive, growing up in a hood where drug abuse, selling drugs and having homies dying, getting killed, dropping out and falling off were rampant...it built me in the cruelest way. Even today, I have former friends who were murdered, killed each other and are sleeping in jail. I grew up too fast and lost my innocence. So I ought to do something to keep going. I did those things. But today, I'm in a better place. I survived. I apologized. I matured. I got my closure from people and with my hometown I got away from. Of course, memories haunted me for years : nightmares, sleeplessness, voices, crying, wincing, feeling uneasy and awkward even years after that time. Even when I was away trying to live a newer, saner, deeper and healthier life in Paris, these horrors would come back to traumatize me. I was incensed. Still angry. I wanted to erase memories and crush those who made me feel like this. And God knows that when wronged, I'm a Leo so I was vindictive by nature. At 28, these things don't make me cry as much anymore. These things happened. I feel like a better version of myself. I forgave myself and some others. I'm a survivor. If I survived, you will.

"Did you ever know Gianni Versace?" i know how it may have come off, but i genuinely never thought she was throwing shade when she said this. I saw it as her paying homage to her late friend, artist and icon Gianni Versace. He was murdered and she definitely still grieves for him til this day. She is essentially saying, "Do you think i could EVER tell VERSACE what to do with HIS brand??". This is completely valid. Versace or anyone who owns and runs a company is not going to have a friend / subordinate dictate their vision bc of some alleged petty model drama. I believe she was trying to demonstrate how ridiculous Tyra's claim sounded. Additionally, she made sure to list other top supermodels (before Tyra interrupted) who had been in Tyra's exact position ( been canceled for a Versace show during fitting), one of them being Kate Moss. Naomi handled this challenging situation so tastefully and with such class. I'm happy to see how well this aged and people finally seeing it for what it is.
@okaywow34862 жыл бұрын
@@areinav She actually DID know it was normal. Tyra tells on herself at 14:22 and explicitly states 1) "I have been cancelled A LOT as a model.." (she's citing other shows and designers besides Versace) 2) "I know he (Versace) was NOTORIOUS for cancelling at the last minute...this is just something SOMEONE ELSE told me." (14:28 ) . Notice when Naomi surreptitiously exposes how baseless Tyra's insistence on an alleged conspiracy is, Tyra backpedals and deflects to people that are not there to defend themselves. Everyone talks about the "Did you know Gianni Versace?" sound bite, but no one talks about how that was in response to Tyra disrespectfully scapegoating a dead man who is not there to defend himself as he was senselessly shot to death. Naomi couldn't flat out tell Tyra that her implications were disrespectful to Gianni's memory, bc everything Naomi says gets taken out of context. As that notorious sound bite has...
@erikverikv31077 ай бұрын
@@okaywow3486 actually Naomi did have some power as his only muse and she could have asked why he hired the model that is trying to replace her. Gianni probably was already considering canceling Tyra but Naomi could have pushed him over the edge OR Naomi could have heard that Gianni was going to cancel Tyra without Naomi's input then asked Angelo to tel Tyra it was Naomi's fault. Notice Tyra specifically remembers Angelo's name and Naomi confirmed it was the right person Tyra was talking about. Tyra made it abundantly clear that this isn't something she imagined or assumed, it was explicitly told to her by Angelo, so she also is not scapegoating a dead man because she referenced Angelo canceling her and not Gianni himself.

Tyra basically was simply trying to humiliate Naomi and Naomi was so calm and graceful throughout what was essentially a series of attacks from Tyra. Tyra didn’t even let her talk. It wasn’t a discussion so much as it was Tyra verbally machine gunning Naomi with PETTY accusations about things that happened decades prior. This won Naomi more sympathy than Tyra could have imagined. Naomi has had very public struggles with addiction, violence, friends dying, etc. She’s had REAL issues and Tyra gives ZERO F’s and unashamedly shows it. I think going through these things may have made Naomi more self-aware and mature. I saw her with Annabelle Nielsen on Ladies of London before Annabelle passed and Naomi was such a caring, warm decades long friend to her and Kate Moss. Meanwhile, who are Tyra’s friends?? 🤔 Naomi is so evolved. WE LOVE YOU, NAOMI!!!
@erikverikv31077 ай бұрын
No Tyra was clearly trying to show how the fashion industry pitted the two of them against each other, hence Tyra saying they are both victims. Tyra was clearly bullied by Naomi and was obviously going to talk about it in the interview that Naomi was not forced to attend or agree to. Bullying is a real issue and it's disgusting you would imply otherwise.
@TheGoldenpk7 ай бұрын
Bullying is such a big issue because people aren't putting it in its proper place. Like Naomi said, that's such a small thing in her life, such a short time. There are much bigger trauma people are suffering from, need real healing from. Being bullied is more about yourself than the other person. And I say that because we have to teach inner strength, we have to learn to not internalize mean things, we have to learn to be more self reliant for our healing and growth.

Elizabeth R are you crazy!! I’m not a Tyra Stan but the most famous black model Dani and Fatima were given long weaves!!! So many black women were given long wings because it worked ! Many white women had their hair cut too! So sick of this fake racism when you never watched a season! watch the first season ! The only black women they shaved was Ebony and she already had a really short hair . The rest had new weaves .

I think black people in the UK have a different mindset than us in the States. If we see someone else black entering into the same space as we are in that’s dominated by white people, we are happy and look out for each other. I don’t think they think that way in the UK because they didn’t go through the racial discrimination to the extent we did.

The whole thing just seemed like Tyra over thinking everything. She looked up to Naomi so she probably thought every attitude was due to not liking her but really it was just bad timing. I'm sure she was on drugs or drunk and irritated but Tyra thought it was all about her, like she does about everything.

Tyra was very hostile, she didn't realize Naomi actually liked her here. Naomi wasn't afraid to admit wrongs, but it didnt seem enough for tyra, its like she wanted to break naomi down. Even when Naomi brought up her mother, tyra made her own situation feel worse and more important.

@justrelle1.03 жыл бұрын
That’s because Tyra is a narcissist. And when you learn someone is a narcissist, you cannot take whatever they say feel or do seriously. Everything they do is for the attention of themselves. Like her introduction about this is a time for her healing, but it’s not. She’s fueling her narcissism with false realities.

Notice how she was so interested in wanting Naomi to bring up sad moments in her like like what happened to her when she was a young child, her rehabilitation etc. Tyra is just angry that Naomi cannot be broken down. Tyra is so weird to me now, it’s like she got some sort of satisfaction hearing the unfortunate things that happened to Naomi but yet Naomi never broke down.
@maggieann64375 жыл бұрын
It's so weird because obviously Naomi didnt want to go in depth about her childhood trauma and Tyra kept trying to push it out of her it's so vile. Like shes on 3 years older than Tyra and she acts like Naomi wasnt also a young girl in a very toxic and competitive environment trying to make it through on her own. Like Tyra had to have her mom the whole time and tries to blame it all on Naomi lol in Naomi's words " I dont have power over Anna Wintour or Giovani versace". Tyra just couldn't take someone not liking her she has such thin skin.
@scdgjilh4 жыл бұрын
Sugar Kiss I don’t think Tyra had malicious intent, she was just trying to get her to open up so she can understand her more, Tyra seems to be in tuned with her emotions, she tries to understand them where as Naomi is the type to bottle things up and chooses to put on a front. They’re two very different people

@trianajackson3344 жыл бұрын
Sugar Kiss no. She just felt as if Naomi had her defenses up too much. Honestly in reality this makes no sense. When someone hurts you cannot just point the finger and make them apologize to you bc people are watching... which is exactly what Tyra is doing. IF Naomi would have refused using their fued for spectacle by coming on to the show, you KNOW Tyra would have called her out during an episode and all of the viewers would’ve taken her side because she has the platform. Naomi came on very graciously to tell her side and played humble if that’s what Tyra’s ego needed so badly. But truthfully some people will NEVER be sorry for things they’ve done. Tyra didn’t need Naomi there to forgive her. She needed to forgive herself. Clearly there’s still a lot of stuff there if she felt the need to try and bring Naomi down to her level by bringing up her emotional hurts. That sounds like a ton of ego to me, and placing blame. It seems like she just needed a reason to have compassion for Naomi. Tyra could’ve forgiven, empowered herself and ended the “fued” at anytime because apparently for Naomi the drama ended 14 years ago. Easier said than done. Of course.
