No. Tyrael simply was just the better angel in that moment. He was correct and was embodying justice. Imperius is not demonstrating Valor by attacking a brother. That simple. However gotta say, feats would suggest that imperius claps Tyrael in a "deathbattle" 1v1 as much as I like tyrael

It depends on what story the writers are delivering. Tyrael seemed more determined to uphold justice and Imperius was having some anger issues. He was also supposed to be the main baddie for the expansion and was later discarded because it was going to be difficult having 2 baddies.

great cinematic but absolutely dogshit writing...an archangel is about to kill another archangel for...no good reason Tyrael's actions to help humanity dated back thousands of year, why would Imperius want to punish him now especially after Tyrael had already been destroyed already by the Worldstone exploding

1- Imperius absolutely hates humanity and seeing one of his siblings breaking the laws of heaven for them infuriates him to no end. 2- He never forgave Tyrael for siding with preserving Sanctuary and held a deep grudge against him. He was just looking for an excuse to lash out. Is Imperius acting resonably? Heck no, but it is the whole point of it. His unwillingness to change and evolves causes him to loses his path of valour and succumb to wrath.

Imperius is the biggest fraud in the history of gaming. Dude talks the biggest game how he’s the greatest “divine” warrior who is the “goods” last line of defence against “evil”. He gets absolutely dummied in the only two(!!) fights he gets in the entire series. I wish there was an aftermath scene where he had front row seats watching watching some African dude that got bothered enough to put down his Jolloff and threw some vomiting frogs at his greatest rival and come out victorious.
