I think it depends on terrain. If you are playing on super heavy terrain like wtc then great but most tournaments and games at hone dont

Battle shock seems to be very swingy as a mechanic as anything Ld 6 has a greater than 50% chance of passing. But it pays to remember that any dice roll can be failed at any time in the game, if you force enough leadership tests some will fail. Battle shock needs to be lent into somewhat, whereby anything that forces a battle shock test needs should be doing so with a companion neurolictor, especially if those leadership test are are -1 and you force a test during the shooting phase.

8:05 NOOOOOO that is not how +1 to wound works mathematically Yes, 1 on a D6 is 17% out of a whole But you have to compare what the +1 wound is boosting you in Wounding on only 6s? And now you are wounding on 5s and 6s? Thats a 100% boost Youre wounding DOUBLE the amount of dice rolls Wounding on 4+ but now on a 3+ ? Thats a 33% boost in damage

I AM LOVINGGG these deep dive videos. As a new nids player these are immensely helpful! Id love to see a deep dive Into your deployment strategies. Also Maybe go into stratagems, which are best / your fav, which are best used by hive tyrant...etc...

Tyranids definitely aren't the only army suffering from under Strenght monsters this edition. As a dusty boy, I still can't believe my Daemon Princes are S8. Daemon Princes needing 5's to wound Rhinos...who thought that felt right and proper? 😅 Stay strong bug boys. They changed some GK weapon profiles last Dataslate, so it's not impossible that they'll go in and add a Str buff here or there next update. 💪 Also just real quick, but +1 To Wound doesn't give a flat 16.66% increase to damage. The increase it gives depends on your original To Wound roll(6s to 5s is +100%, 5s to 4s is +50%, 4s to 3s is +33%, and 3s to 2s is +25%).

Hey guys, love your vids generally but i have to say that, in my opinion, Neueolictors are NOT the back bone of ANY tyranid list. Only if you want to push battleshock (which is very swingy and for newer players, hard to set up with neilurlictors and screamer killers). With out doubt, thr most backbone units of the tyranid army right now are: Gargoyles. Totally MVP. Biovores. Exocrines. I say this with a win % of 72% in 10th edition.

I very much dislike the use of biovores/spore mines to score secondaries. I would like to loose the ability to score secondaries with 0-OC units in exchange for the battle-shock to be for the whole game and you get the chance to reroll LD in command phase. And the -1 LD with Neurotyrant to be for all LD tests, not only for the shadow in the warp.

I really appriciate these small in depth videos about certain things, please more! Maybe OOD and his Carnifexes next? 2 Questions: I know multiplier normally don´t stack, but i know there are also exceptions to the rule. Would that apply to the Neuro Lictors -1 to hit + Termagaunts with Venomthropes on their side for Stealth? So -2 to hit? The other thing i would like to know is, in Vanguard Onslaught, would Vanguard organisims benefit from both the "Tyranid" rule and the one form them? Meaning, Deathleaper could advance and charge AND fall back and charge?

You can stack anything that affects rolls. However you can give someone's unit +1 to Ws/Bs and also -1 to hit (which becomes -2 to hit). You can stack modifiers to characteristics such as ws/bs but not auras

It might be better to use the points on something else instead of the third one but I just keep taking 3 in all my lists they just feel so mandatory and I like having one a don’t need to be as carful with.

tyranids are not tyranids anymore. instead of claws that shred the strongest ceramite, we have to sneak about and try not get into fights

Love the video series but completely disagree. Far too much Leadership 6 in the meta just now. 2 of these is almost a Maleceptor which will often do far more in a game.

Unless I'm playing against guard or ironically another tyranid force I get maybe two to three battle shocks off a game to be fair, I mostly play against space Marines or thousand sons

The first game I played with 2 Neurolictors I positionrd them too far forward, I went second and lost both in T1 before I even used them. I was playing CSM and underestimated how far fwd he could move and get within range and get the angles.

Right now i really struggle with my early placement of the neurolictors, but this is useful information that will hopefully get me to play more mindfully with them. The mawlocs which you mentioned in passing have been a great source of battleshock in my most recent games. It's often quite achievable to get a whole lot of my opponent's units in the death from below bubble, and with the 33% odds of inflicting a battleshock test they've been surprisingly reliable. Maybe the 2 I've bought to my recent games is overkill, but they certainly get my thumbs up of approval!
