You could have won that battle if both your Exocrines were in the center of your deployment zone. First turn they focus fire down the 3 Heavy Destroyers. You almost took out the squad with 1 so 2 would have done the trick. Now the only other thing in the army with heavy weapons are the Tomb Sentinels in deepstrike. They have a range of 12"..... So use your Termigants to build a proper bubble wrap and they can't shoot at either your Exocrines or Tervigons on the turn they come down. Once the Tomb Sentinels deepstrike in you can take them out as a priority and from that moment on your Exocrines and Tervigons are relatively safe being T8. The game goes very differently from there.

he must have got incredibly lucky with the tomb sentinels - the exile cannons are only d6 shots, and at heavy he would have needed a 4+ to hit.

IDICBeer 40k it does not help I keep running lists that are not that great I'm yet to really try and optimise the nids coz all the units are so much fun . But I'm. Wry much hoping the new Dex make our bit bigs more survivable as they just die so quick .
