@@skullguy4863 well in the initial data mine of the dlc, there's an empty index right after Dipplin, implying there's either a single stage pokemon, or an evo to Dipplin since it comes right after it. But after that empty index comes Poltchageist, so why would they create an index for an unreleased single stage, especially since things like the Paradox Entei and Raikou don't have their index slots yet. This led dataminers to think that Dipplin has an evo. And since the index is in the game code, it acts as a phantom evolution (ex: Wyrdeer is a phantom evo because it exists but is unobtainable ingame, as in Stantler can't evolve into it) so Stantler can use eviolite despite being unable to evolve in ScVi. So I'd assume someone ran damage calculations with Dipplin and found that it's defenses were boosted by the eviolite.

@@skullguy4863 Data mining is pretty much just looking at the code..you look for things set to not trigger/appear in the game (scrapped content) and missing blanks that lead to a certain conclusion (like an extra space in the dex, meaning a pokemon likely gets an evolution soon, or an unreleased pokemon)

Considering the tale of Momotaro has been associated with xenophobic themes in the past (specifically being used as anti-American propaganda in WW2 with America being depicted as the "ogres"), the way they turned it around still makes a bunch of sense, while also still somewhat addressing that subtext of xenophobia. Ogrepon and its friend still were "foreigners", probably from Paldea, who were feared by the people of Kitakami due to obviously looking different. Eventually, Ogrepons hideout was raided by the "Loyal" (more like "Trecherous") Three, the dog, the monkey and the phesant, and as a consequence, Ogrepon ended up banished by the villagers, although in this version at least, it got to enact vengeance against the bandits the villagers wrongly thought their heroes. Because of their bias against the "foreigner" Ogrepon, they branded it the villain while fashioning the actual criminals into heroes. It's ultimately quite different from the tale of Momotaro, in terms of setting, order of events, lack of the presence of an actual Momotaro, but still similar enough to be a clear reference to it.

This is a very interesting observation. It would seem they simply made Pokémon inspired by the characters in the tale, and did less with the tale itself. The twist in tale really is a nice addition, makes you wonder just how many tales of history could've been twisted to fit a certain narrative. The Loyal Three are classified as "Retainer Pokémon" in the dex, so I suspect they serve a Momotaro Pokemon that could be released in the future.

These stories would have to have certain “functions”, firstly to explain how the universe works; secondly what people should do in their tribe, and thirdly to stir the emotions of the people. The first two aspects is a strong reason why stories have some sort of underlying meaning, and the third aspect causes stories to evolve overtime, as story tellers fine-tune their tales to fit the people’s expectations and needs. So yeah, it makes a lot of sense that stories we read today, codified writings could have been way way different from its oral ancestors.

Furious with emotion with the Teal Mask in hand which contains the Tera crystals in it, he punched the shrine which brought energy from the Tera crystal bringing them back to life. Cause like out of all times they awoke, they awoke when they came in contact with someone holding Tera crystals.

There are other Pokemon that like keeping things clean too. Minccino and Swablu come to mind, so I wonder if they'll get it later... Someone mentioned Minccino before me but I figured I'd mention it in my comment too. Though I guess for Swablu there wouldn't really be a need for it, even if it's technically in character, since it ends up getting really good moves as an Altaria like Cotton Guard and Moonblast.

The fate of Ogerpon's old master does seem pretty mysterious. Despite not shying away from the Loyal Three being killed, the story makes it sound like the man somehow vanished after protecting the Teal Mask, with it even speculating Ogerpon went out to search for him. A lot of people seem to be jumping to "he was murdered by the Loyal Three," but the story treats the trio as thieves, not murderers.

Considering I'm prettty sure we've been shown that they'll be able to use Terastalization in Blueberry Academy, I guess that means they found a way to stabilize it outside of Paldea or Kitakami by then. However, we still don't know how that'll work, Game Freak might spin it in a way where outside of Paldea, they can only stabilize it in an area about as large as Kitakami or the Blueberry Academys Terarium, maybe their plan is to confine Terastalization to smaller areas if it returns in the next games, like special facilities.

I doubt it. There isn't much space they can use. We know Sinjoh is in the same area as Katakami, which takes up that area of Japan. The only area left would be the land between Johto and Hoenn which isn't very big.

Sinnoh isn't in the same area. Kinda why its said the bloodmoon ursaluna swam from hisui to kitakami. But kitakami is a small part of the area and farther inland rather close to the beach. I've already looked at maps. Kanto sits below it and summon is above. A lot of Japan hasn't been used actually.
