The disgust in this one kept on rising. Not only the were the levels repetitive but they were also dull and ugly. While SoR can get monotonous towards the end with similar enemy types, each level was unique and had great atmosphere, even for a 16bit game.

Same, I really had fun with this one then again I did also play it after having caught snippets of the actual comics related to it. Though I agree with the opinion that it's a lesser version of other beat em ups of the day.

i enjoyed this when i rented it as a kid. but i never played the good beat-em-ups to compare. and god damn it really was tedious looking back... At least Genesis version had neat music in the story scenes that kind of got you into it.

@@Tyrannicon I think it has decent graphics, gameplay and interesting level design. About difficulty; I suggest to play it on hard which could bring some rage but won't be in an irritating level. If you wanted to play it, it has something like a launcher or quick setup in which you can choose directX or openGL; In my case when I run it on directX, it won't double jump in game, so I choose openGL.

Yeah that game reused a lot of stuff. the same areas over & over. Maybe they was short on time or just wanted to make s cheap bulk 😂 adding a block would've helped out too. Captain commander is a fun game on snes & arcade
