I have to go with the Genesis version. Yes, the Snes one plays a bit smoother, but the Genesis one has way more charm, visually and with the original music and it plays wwll too, with the later levels being the best ones. Snes one was like a constant 7, while the Genesis one has some parts 6, but also parts 8-9.

I remember getting stuck trying to fly through the lava cave when I was a kid, pretty much gave up on gaming for a long while after that. Playing sekiro now and it's difficult but nowhere near as hard as Aladdin was back then

I was wondering if this was going to pop up after seeing the lion king one. Used to play this on my cousins PC whenever we would visit during the holidays. From memory the furthest I'd ever make it is to the desert magic sand cave bit before deciding to do other things.

I owned both and highly preferred the sega version. The music and areas were better. The difficulty was more challenging for me as well which I enjoyed. One of the few times I prefer sega over nes

Snes version will increase your blood pressure so play woth caution, in the sega version Alladin has more attacks but can be frustrating at times as well. I wish you good luck my good man.

SEGA GENESIS is the best one because they actually play the licensed music. The copyright free crap they play on the SNES version gives me a headache.

People have a hard on for the Genesis version because of its amazing cartoon graphics, but the gameplay and platforming is extremely shallow and wonky. The SNES game looks less like the movie but plays WAAAAAY better with the Capcom polish. There’s so many inferior platformers on Genesis when compared to the SNES as well, so Aladdin looks better on Sega when compared to Ristar, but Aladdin on SNES is only mediocre when compared to all time greats like Mario World, DKc 1 & 2 and Megaman X

I like the jumping in the SNES version. But i like every else in the genesis one more. God i hate how older games have the same title. But there two completely different games. Just have a bloody sub title under the main title dude. I had no idea when i was a kid. I thought the snes & genesis just had a lot of the same games. I would've bought a genesis if i knew the games was different

Though the Genesis version has better graphics (the pixel art itself is more polished, and also the color palette, even if it feels somewhat muddy, is more stylish than the SNES's, in my opinion), the SNES one seems a bit more professional because the scenery has better parallax, while the scenery in the Genesis Aladdin seems very flat and stale. Gameplay-wise I think the Genesis one comes out on top though.
