I never had enough money to break my things out of anger. Either my parents bought it so I would make them mad if I broke something they bought for me, or I bought it, so I value it extremely highly, or it's irreplaceable, because I'm broke. I guess it also helps that I've never struggled with severe anger issues or violent outbursts.

Ngl I raged over a game of pvp roulette in XIV because my team managed to turn the easiest W, over 400 point lead, into the BIGGEST defeat (600 point difference) because they wanted to focus red or something and let yellow run around unchecked only to get sandwiched by both at the end and utterly denied

My favorite rage was several years ago the league streamer Trick2g (has a habit of breaking keyboards) after slamming his keyboard brought out a box of like a dozen unopened keyboards as backups. Keeping them in business.

The only lesson I got from this is never play an FPS Seriously if you're getting that angry, just take a step outside and touch the grass for 5 seconds. You'll feel much better

Not sure why people do today, but back in the day there were barely desk space, so people would play with tilted keyboards like that, which is why you see a lot of pros that have played for a long time usually do that, often connected with and has its origin from cs i believe :d Why they sit close to the screen? No clue... Why people still opt to do it today? No clue, as it can be harmful to your wrist in the long run.

see ive had times where ive felt angry enough to be one of the guys in these videos (mostly in fighting games trying to get the combos to work when im shit at doing certain inputs like DPs), but then i remember ive watched enough of these comps to not be those guys (at most ill smack the armrest on my chair)

I think I broke a controller as a kid because I game overed an RPG after being a dipshit to not saving for the past 6 hours. So I had to do everything over again. Only other time was because my Xbox S model controller crapped out in the last 3 minutes of a Halo 2 online tournament. Cost my team like 600 bucks. So it went out office space style.

Why do people play these games? Well this is essentially true for any PvP game. It is as "rewarding" as it is infuriating. Beating other players gives you an air of superiority, especially when you can't get that feeling in the real world for being a loser who plays video games all day and have nothing to show for it. It is infuriating because you are proven that you are that loser in the game that you spent your whole life in as well as in the real world because all you do is play that one game you suck at. Sarcasm aside, PvP games are more competitive and give a sense of accomplishment, and because there is that sense of accomplishment to lose, we get frustrated, even more so when we don't consider it out fault for losing (spoiler, 99% of the time it is)
