I just wanna let you know, incase you didn't, that the "Creation Engine" is literally Gamebryo Engine (the engine they used to make MORROWIND) with a bunch of lines of code added onto it and renamed. What does this mean? When you add code to an already existing one, that sometimes even contradicts the already established code from the previous version, it becomes unstable, that's why Bethesda games are so prone to crashing and bugs. Picture it like a Jenga tower that's about to fall with the slightest breeze of the wind.

If there's one thing I learned in basic programming(and I'm talking learning on something ancient like Microsoft VB 2005), it is that adding new codes unnecessarily can screw the whole program over, even something as basic as a calculation program. it is better to re-write the code than risk program stability.

There's a big difference between No Man's Sky and Fallout 76. No Man's Sky was made by an indie development team who were backed by a larger producer. They had worked on a few lesser-known titles, and were wholly unready for the game they were trying to make. Their issue was their impromptu hypeman making too many promises. Bethesda is a AAA games production company. They have a dozen development studios under their wings, such as Machinegames and id Software. They've made plenty of games that released to high praise, and are one of the better known studios. They only talked about the multiplayer aspect and the graphical details, but were otherwise mute and didn't hype the game. Their issue is that most fans were expecting very little, and even then, they managed to disappoint. One feels like an inexperienced studio making an honest mistake, the other feels like an experienced studio running a con job. Even if Bethesda makes Fallout 76 better, they don't deserve to have people interested in it like No Man's Sky. They knew better and still made the same mistakes.

This I just my opinion and you might call me a purist or something, but personally, like many fallout fans, I believe Fallout New Vegas was what a fallout game was supposed to be, visuals and gameplay aside (which can age very poorly), its writing is top tier and you can play each playthrough in a completely different way and complete most quests in a multitude of ways. If they made a game with New Vegas mechanics and stories, fallout 76 visuals and gunplay, I think it would be perfect. I think the multiplayer aspect is a hit or miss, because if not implemented well, it can turn the game into a flaming pile of shit, personally, I hope they will be avoiding multiplayer for the next fallout, (let's not mention the atomic shop). Bethesda had such a good reputation among gamers, for years.. and then they decided to do the Fallout 76 thingy. Now they are as hated as EA.. but I guess that's what greed gets them. They did not even make an attempt to hide their greedy intentions after all.

the downfall was way before. Fallout 4 was a downgrade, simplifying their games more and more. Also Skyrim wasnt so great, without the big modcommunity bethesda wouldnt be so relevant, because they make the game spicy over time. Bethesda didnt improved their craft over the years, look how fast they punched their games out after skyrim and what quality you get from it. They cant pump up a good working engine, every bug is a collection from games before and they cant fix them. I have great hopes for the new games because microsoft has much better quality control and they work now with another engine. We will finally see really new results after years of stagnation.

It's a pretty gradual decline. Starting in Oblivion and continuing onwards. It was just Bethesda seeing how much they could shit on the community before they started fighting back.

At least, the people who made it earnestly tried to fix No Man's Sky; they were truly apologetic, and wanted to make good on their promise of making an exciting new game. Bethesda? To them, it's all one big grift. A con to separate chumps from their money. There was no passion in Fallout 76; no attention to the pre-established lore; no care for the billions upon billions of fans. It was just a cashcow they milked to death and instead of trying to change, they KEPT RIGHT ON MILKING THE DEAD COW! And no other developers want to work for them because of how the heads of the company screw them over; the folk who developed Fallout New Vegas, widely considered to be one of the best (if not THE best) installment in the franchise, begged game reviewers to give them good reviews, but Bethesda bribed the reporters to give middling or only 'sorta' high scores, thus diminishing how much they had to pay their developers, screwing them out of their rightful, deserved pay. With a company that's actively malevolent, actively cruel and stingy to their own employees, why aren't more people up in arms? Why aren't there boycotts? A drop in shareholders? Anything to punish the bastards in charge?!?! How are they still allowed to exist?!?!?

Oh god this lady is that type, where did the pay women more in gaming come from. Last I checked it was illegal to pay someone less as men when they first start working, besides it's common sense that if companies are supposedly paying women less then why don't companies replace most of the men who get paid more with women who get paid less? If companies are paying women less to save money wouldn't it be smart to hire more if not all women in jobs? you would have to be terrible at a company to not realize they could be saving a ton of money by doing that yet they don't and simple reason is they pay everyone equally but men do harder dangerous jobs and in any job men take less time off from work and will take extra hours when possible while most women will almost always leave early without a second thought and call in more, can't expect to get paid the same by the end of each pay period if you don't put in the harder jobs or more hours as you know common sense and math.
