I made a Skyrim character that looked like this and acted like the man in the song. Called him Tyr Stormheart. After playing with this character for several days... I realized Skyrim's population was rapidly declining due to a great number of decapitations.

Really love this album :) Saw it at the Vestmanna Tourist Centre when I went to the Faroe Islands with my family years ago as well which I thought was cool, there's no chance a shop in Malta - other than a dedicated music shop - would have records of metal bands haha

I was thinking the other day that with most bands I listen to, I like maybe 1/4th of their songs and would care to listen to them again. With Tyr, nearly every single song is beloved, which means you're the only band I actually listen to through full albums in single sittings. Then of course, youtube likes to autoplay to another of your albums, which is just fine by me. Three small queries as you're being so kind to reply to the comments. - Against the Gods is my most played song of the last two years. I haven't looked, but who are the characters mentioned in the song? Upon whose throne have the leaves gathered? :) - On "Fields of the Fallen", in the choruses, you have a wonderful double tracked vocal that's much higher than the main vocal. I just can't figure out what intervals are used between them. It's such a unique and compelling sound. - Any chance we'll ever get an acoustic/folk album? Tyr Unplugged? :)

The "characters" on the Hel album are not specific, with a few exceptions, such as Ragnar Loðbrók, Garmr and Surtr. It is mostly seen from the viewpoint of disadvantaged individuals of medieval society, which were most people. Against the Gods is a criticism of the idea that a god or gods plan our lives. The high voice in Fields of the Fallen only occurs in the last chorus. It is the octave to the 2nd voice that is under the 1st voice of the chorus throughout the song. The high voice is mostly it's a (minor or major) 6th above the lead voice. Sometimes other intervals where it is fitting. We have talked about the idea of making some exclusively acoustic songs, yes. No specific plans yet, though. - Heri

​@@Tyrband Through Tyr's videos and several photos that I have seen of Føroyar, I realize that their land is very similar to the south of my country (Chile), I would like to visit them one day and get to know that beautiful side of the world. I love the Nordic countries and their cultures! Here our warrior race are the Mapuches and they, in addition to being the only ones not to be dominated by the Spaniards, still fight for their sovereignty in the south of my country against the power of the industries and the Chilean State that covet their sacred lands.
