For Tyreek to run this fast after putting his body thru 7 years of NFL punishment is absolutely incredible. His time would have even been faster if he was running against an elite field. No way he would win against the top runners, but for Tyreek to do this at 29 years of age, when most NFL WRs have slowed down considerably, it needs to be appreciated instead of getting criticized. The Cheetah is still running as fast as his best high times, it’s just amazing when you consider the punishment and injuries he has put his body thru playing in the NFL. Bravo Cheetah!

I'm not sure his body is that punished. I think what's more impressive is that he pisses out this time having not done track for years, in the middle of winding down for the off season, having built his body for the rigours of football and not track. Now imagine he got in a proper training block ONLY for sprints and got a track coach. Make no mistake, Hill could go much quicker than this if he suddenly decided to change professions. He had elite speed as a young man doing track and he'd likely have it again now, but what he's doing as a skill player in the NFL is much more impressive to me than running fast in a straight line so please do stick with football, Tyreek - lol.

To give this perspective, the fastest 60m time in the NCAA right now is 6.46s by Terrance Jones of Texas Tech. Unfortunately, Hill's 6.70s wouldn't even rank him in the top 25 this year but for someone that hasn't focused on track in 9 years, 6.70s is pretty impressive.

The bulk doesn't mean you're necessarily faster. I imagine it helps, yet running form is more important. DeSean Jackson, Dion sanders are were thin and could accelerate with anyone. Reek could probably beat bolt to 40 yards. After that, he'd get left, and Bolt is 6'5 208 and very thin for his frame.

@@Laidback_616 I don’t think Tyreek could beat Bolt at the 40. Some years ago, Bolt ran a 4.22 in track shoes at age 33 with no warmup. And in 2017 Christian Coleman, a slower sprinter than Bolt, ran a 4.12. Tyreek would definitely give him a run for his money, and it’s fun to think about, though 😆

His PR is 6.64 from college. And 6.70 for a season opener is pretty decent. If he fully committed to training for track and ran against decent competition that would push him he could potentially be in that 6.5 range.
