Your friend's comments about needing to watch music videos many times because there are so many elements were quite perceptive. I think that is the first reaction where a friend was shown BTS that I could say like or not like BTS, this person gets that he is watching something special. Good comment. Throwing platitudes is easy. Forming perception is a reflection of integrity.

Yet to Come,; I'm crying because I know they came to this world to save us from the dark. They are starseeds and nobody knows it. That's why everybody loves BTS. While the world was on war these last 3 years, they were connecting people with love and energy. Now they have finished their mission, you can see it in the the last part of the video. A few interesting facts about the mv for BTS "ON" official video: The dance portion was choreographed by Sienna Lalau, from the LA area when still in her teens. She appears in the video leading the dancers up front & center at the beginning of the video. Sienna also choreographed BTS's "Dionysus" performance dance (watch it live, amazing) and J-hope's "Chicken Noodle Soup " (and dances in it also, see her as 1 of the four dancers near the beginning in black/yellow outfit). The dancers were from THE LAB, a multicultural dance troup Sienna works with & who BTS has used while on tour in the US. The band appearing in the mv is "The Blue Devils", a competitive Drum and Bugle Corp . The video was filmed at the Sepulveda dam outside LA.

"ON" and "Black Swan" are connect lyrically, actually. "Black Swan" is them struggling yo accept their shadows and "ON" is them finally accepting the shadows as part of who they are as a journey to individuation. Both songs are from their 2020 album "Map of The Soul:7", which is based on Carl Jung's psychological concepts of the persona, shadow and ego. Unfortunately the KZbin translations oversimplify the lyrics. I personally think "MOTS:7" is their best piece of work so far. A work of art. Your friend saying that he needs to watch the mvs multiple times to actually get what they are trying to communicate with the song is a very intelligent take. I feel like he will really like many of the BTS mvs because there's always hidden meanings and multiple elements that require multiple takes. Every scene is well thought and nothing is random in their mvs...every scene means something . If he is interested actually, I suggest an explanation of "Black Swan" by Bookish Theories, and an explanation of "ON" by Bookish Theories and DKDKTV....just to appreciate the messages of the songs. Yet to come was meant to be slow not too hype because it's an anthology title track. It's a summary of their 9 years musical journey and a perfect song to close off/wrap up their first chapter. The simplicity in the beat/production was intentional because they want their fans to focus on the lyrics and the mv was intentionally mild as well as they were showering us fans with multiple refences to their past music videos. I actually suggest "BTS Yet To Come MV Explained" by xCeleste, if you are interested in what they were referencing.

Omgosh Black Swan hit me so different listening to it for the first time since the Festa Dinner and them saying how they have been feeling. They planned on taking the break in 2020 and Black Swan came out in 2020. They were telling us back then how they were feeling. Omgosh 🤦‍♀️ We should know better every song, every image has meaning. I've been thinking about alot of things they've said in lives and interviews and I just realize what they were really trying to tell us. In the MOTS7 unit interview with Namjoon and Suga, they kept saying they were going through alot and they need to just stay strong. It alllll makes sense now! but as Jimin said they couldn't really share and tell us everything. Suga once said too that he gets alot of collab requests but the BTS schedule is hectic he doesn't have time to do them and I'm sure it's the same for the other members. They want to grow on their own too, solo. It's bitter sweet but I trust that if they promise to come back then they will.

It goes through many of the easter eggs and lyrics that relate back to BTS's past songs/MV's.... she also shares some theories on how the lyrics may give hints about the future.. .
