Tyron Woodley is very smart, the best fighters in the world aren't in the UFC, they are people who know that fighting as a sport is not worth the health risks, there are better things to do with your life. It is amazing that the UFC even had a way to become successful, because it means it needs a lot of desperate people who are willing to fight for money. Which is a reflection of how bad we are doing as a species. We so far from being civilized, if people enjoy watching fighting it shows how barbaric we still are as a species. It explains why we still have so much conflict in the world, and why we can't simply live in peace together. In a true advanced civilization there won't be any war and fighting won't exist as a sport, people won't have any desire for such wasteful activities, there will be better things to spend their time on and better opportunities available for everyone. People won't exploit people for money like they do now.

Woodly don’t get the props he deserve.. he has not only beaten, but he has defended the BELT! Against multiple different martial artists styles.. most people see it as boring fights, I see it as adjusting to styles and wining. He knocked out Robby, took Thompson out twice, beat a submission specialist and has a flawless victory against Till. Much respect.

I still can't believe how he defeated Wonderboy. Wonderboy got knocked out with a unlikely (not lucky) punch by Pettis. But Woodley not only NOT getting destroyed by that beast, but winning as well, confused me. I think Wonderboy feared something mentally... maybe even being racist, no joke either.

Joe Rogan if you don't realize the what Tyron Woodley is saying is correct, your out of your mind. If you don't understand that if he lost that fight that Dana would never let him make another title run, you are crazy. Dana would let Condit come out of retirement straight into a title fight before letting Woodley get that belt again. The UFC does not get behind Woodley.

The only professional that was succesful and a great fightef I have ever heard say they liked to fight because they wanted to hurt people. Wolf I look at the situation like the Jordan effect there were many top stars in the NBA during Jordans rain but everyone was second to Jordan just how Conor McGregor came into picture it was during the time Tyronn Woodley was starting to dominate the higher division but because Conner was getting so much attention from us the UFC and his home country for his performance in and out of the octagon everyone else was second fiddle same as Jordan affect on the NBA in the 90s that's how I look at it at least and Woodley is just speaking up on how he doesn't appreciate that if it were me it wouldn't matter as long as I got paid but Woodley is taking this personal

Alex G. . I think proper planning pays off. Many many successful people have become so without self centered conniving sort of effort.. And are usually more sustained financially because they form stronger bonds with their business partners. What you have in the fighting\entertainmemt industry is a show where controversy creates excitement, and appearing to be without concience fulfills a domineering shameless fantasy that so many people wish to act out... In real life high functioning people are well rounded and accessible to their fellows. Perhaps we agree.

Listen, I am not black or white. So i dont have a dog in the racial aspect of this fight. HOWEVER, I just like many others can see clearly that the UFC/Dana WHITE does not market the browns or blacks of the sport compared to the Blondes. Its so obvious. I am not upset about it so this is not a venting or complaining comment, its just an obvious observation. I mean Woodley has a great record and survived twice against a very skillful Wonderboy. He has fast KOs, ground and pounds, tap outs, strategic fights. Did it all. But look how Conor, Lesnar, Ronda, Vanzant, Northcutt have been marketed in comparison to him, Amanda, Velasquez (in his prime)...There's a big difference. Now if he talked and acted like Conor and Ronda pre and post fights, yall would call him a thug. THUG, low life ect...Trust me, I have seen it.

+nick gerz | Anderson Silva at one time was defeating the best of the best, but was harshly criticized because of *how* he was defeating his competition (Cote, Leites, Maia). Fast forward one year after his fight against Maia and he's all of a sudden regarded as one of the most entertaining finishers in all of mixed martial arts (Belfort, Okami, Sonnen 2, Bonnar). Georges St-Pierre, initially was an exciting fighter who went for finishes, but after reaching a certain level of financial success he started to play it safe (2010-2013); however, GSP's safe-style of fighting was curtailed by his kind, honest, and respectful personality so much of his criticisms were drowned out by the loyal fans he had won (in addition to his Canadian following). Woodley does himself no favors by complaining and playing the victim when his reign is still in its infancy.

Let's be honest Tyron is a good dude and shouldn't be disrespected! He's an unbelievable athlete. He's the only 1 on the UFC roster outside of GSP (maybe) that's the best overall athlete! In my opinion, he would pose a legitimate threat to dethrone Khabib and stop his winning streak. The guy can flat out wrestle but can box as well. The power he packs with his punches are downright scary. His last fight was evident of that. Tyron deserves more respect.
