Congratulations! I’ve been here since ~600 I think and it has been so cool seeing you grow.. it’s been so refreshing to see someone who I can actually relate to in so many ways find an audience and be able to reach so many people! My boyfriend and I are both autistic and all of your videos have helped so much in figuring out why we are who we are, and learning to accept it.. thank you kindly and keep on keeping on!

I like your channel because it doesn't give off that label-focused vibe. Keep up the good work! TL;DR - Everyone (Autistic or not) should keep a growth mindset and not restrict themselves by some label. I see so often that people see themselves as autistic and therefore they can't do certain things and it pains me to read these posts because that's an incredibly limited and restricting way to live. I've always lived life by focusing on my strengths and finding ways to accomplish the results I need that works best for me. "I can't" and "It's too hard" have never been a part of my vocabulary (not that they would have been allowed with the way I was raised). It made growing up a constant struggle, but at the same time, it showed me that I can do anything if I put my mind to it. Later, when I was diagnosed at age 29, I learned that my anger outbursts (aka meltdowns) were because of autism and getting overwhelmed without realizing it and not some deep-rooted anger I have. Since then I've been putting a lot of effort into learning to identify when I get overwhelmed. It's been a struggle and honestly it feels impossible, but I've been making progress little by little, month by month. I can identify I was overwhelmed much quicker after a meltdown (minutes compared to days), so I am improving even if I haven't gotten to the point of prevention yet.

Very great mindset to have. I remember not feeling like I could make it to where I am now, and I think a lot of us are in that place now. It’s very encouraging to see autistics grow because it shows us that this can be possible !!
