I struggle to believe it's possible, but hearing that it's possible helps. I'm narcissistic enough to believe I'm uniquely ruined, which causes me to feel anxious, guilty, and confused when people show they care.

What I can recommend, what worked for me was guided meditation, sports and learning how to replace negative thoughts with positive thoughts ASAP.

Something I struggle with too. The more financially comfortable I am the worse it gets!! I feel guilty just being alive ( there is WW2 PTSD in the family).

They should do sit-ups where the upper part of the abdomen is worked, with the legs raised and trying to touch the feet with the hands and its variants that work the upper part of the abdomen, they will see improvements quickly. That upper abdominal exercise will take away your depression and anxiety, it will also heal your mind.
