Much respect to him for talking about this. I'm an Army veteran with depression, PTSD and anxiety. There can be a huge stigma in the world when it comes to mental illness, especially when it comes to men. We are taught to be strong and fight through anything. Emotions are a sign of weakness and so on. That's ridiculous. The strongest people are those who know they have an issue and are willing to reach out for help to rectify the problem. Psychiatry at best is a pseudo science and at worst harms far more than it helps. I'm a psychiatric survivor who was on a cocktail of psychotropic drugs for over seventeen years.. one of which was Klonopin! After a grueling fifteen month taper I was eventually able to get off all RX drugs..however I still have a long arderous road ahead of me. Trauma, abuse, neglect, rejection and a myriad of other misfortunes can indeed cause one to be labeled with an often times degrading psychiatric condition. However in no way shape or form do you nor anyone else for that matter have a "Chemical Imbalance". I highly urge you to research the afformentioned for yourself. Please don't forget that the pharmaceutical companies make billions pushing stories like this one. I got diagnosed at 26 with anxiety too. You know what I think the hardest thing about anxiety is? The blurs, the confusion and the second geussing. It's not just about feeling nervous it's also about not being sure of anything sometimes
@kylel85164 жыл бұрын
My anxiety made me feel vulnerable, nervous and made me unsure about myself, made me doubt myself and nervous when I shouldn't be. Still Makes me feel uncomfortable and over think a situation and makes me put it is much worse than it actually is, makes me feel drained some days and fatigued and panick attacks come and go as they please and my sleep is varied and not regular. Everything seems like a repeating crappy circle and when you go out and you talk to someone and some days you are ok and the next you are lossed for words and feel like you are going to say something stupid and keep yourself quiet and over think it after about what you should of said and sometimes the anxiety makes you not want to go out and when you do you want to run home back to your safe place because there you feel normal and safe and some jokes you can take but some You take to heart or get abit too over sensitive. Anxiety is a monster that lets you live in peace some days but others makes you feel on edge and it can be a draining process that only the outside you look fine to to others but on the inside your fighting this invisible demon that nobody sees and all they see is your fake smile but not your pain and that is why people with anxiety are really the strong ones because we have to deal with live and ourself and anxiety comes in many forms whether it’s through injury or failure or health anxiety thinking something is wrong with you all the time or phantom pains. Many people deal with different anxiety and I wouldn’t wish it on my worse enemy as it can kill you if you are low enough. I am now 32 and my anxiety as calmed down abit but it has brought on premature balding through stress and through sitting about doing nothing but going work and then laying about etc brought on a hiatus hernia and in away even thoe it gives me trouble now and then it has helped me become healthier and fitter as I’ve been forced to change my eating habits and excerise more and that as helped me keep happy but still sometimes sad. So my advice to anyone. Chocolate and all that greasy food etc and just sitting not upright etc all bring on a hiatus hernia if you are unlucky that is where your stomach pushes through your little thin muscle in between your diaphragm. It’s a thin muscle that weakens through too much chocolate and greasy food and slouching and not sitting up right and I was told many people have this condition without even knowing and it’s cause by bad lifestyle and lack of movement. And some times lifting poorly. I have now cut out chocolate and greaves food as this irratates it and can cause flare up and I have limited my beer to every othe weekend not every weekend and only a have a few not a lot. I feel miles better now through eating better and taking care of myself then I ever did and despite my HH and premature balding. I am a better person then I ever was in the past and I even make the effort to go out and jump into the deep end and talk and make the effort to try and beat what I have that doesn’t like me to enjoy myself. It’s your time to stop abusing yourself and start looking after your temple (your body) and force yourself to get help and mingle with others you’d normally avoid. Stop sitting about all the time And go out and stop worrying to much even if you can’t help it try and get an hobby to combat the worrying as a busy mind is a mind that can’t be over thought with doubt. When your not busy your mind is allowed to make thoughts and that is when you have. To much free time on your hands and that isn’t good for someone who lacks focus and has foggy head and anxiety. The key is too keep busy and have a routine.

I’ve had panic attacks for nearly 17 years. As Tyson says in this video, the best thing to combat them is exercise. You don’t have to be a gym bunny but just go for long walks daily and it really does help. I abused alcohol for way too long to try and ease the symptoms and it only makes things worse. If you’re anything like me, then don’t you feel like you need to escape any situation you’re in whilst having a panic attack? Maybe it’s the body’s way of getting you to move to readdress your oxygen levels. Good luck mate. The sooner you control them the better, wish I had done it years ago 👍

Literally struggling daily with mental health, anger, depression, anxiety, paranoia, losing everyone around me because of it, I feel alone, I have tried the medication, I litrally need a break before I give up!! I watch things like this to give me some hope, but I am honestly struggling so much right now.

This is a surprising and in some aspects incomprehensible story. Such greatness mixed with incredible sadness.

Hard thing about anxiety is you can't explain to people who don't have it. Everyone says oh yeah I had that too once. If you had it once, you don't have anxiety.
