Wilder is getting far too much credit for the third Fury fight. He was utterly dreadful in boxing terms. His incredible chin kept him in the fight but the way he was able to keep standing while effectively out was extremely suspect. It looked unnatural. Fury was fantastic the last 2 Wilder fights but his resume is beating Wlad and Wilder comprehensively. That is good but it needs more depth because Wilder has such a poor resume. Add Whyte and either Usyk or Joshua and Fury will then have fully earnt HOF status. But let's see those fights rather than making assumptions about how they might turn out.

Right now it's too early to call anyone the best of this heavyweight era, as we are just in the middle of it. Fury need to win two more matches to be called the best heavyweight of his era. He need to win against Joshua and Usyk. No matter what happens with the belts, this two showed they can be contenders for the throne and Fury need to proves he's the right one. And meanwhile if any new name pops out there he would have to beat him also. The last performance of Tyson wasn't his best and I hope that he figure out the things in his life and not fall into depression. His shape was obviously worse than the second fight and the plan wasn't quite there. I guess Tyson is from those kind of people that rise to the occasion and he needs real challenges to show the best side of himself. Let's hope the next fight will be the undisputed and after that defence against Joshua. If he wins those two and gain all the belts he's definitely the best of his era and probably one of the most talented ever!

I think Joshua is damaged goods at this stage. Was hurt by every meaningful punch Usyk landed last time, and seems unwilling to go for broke with his big shots. For such a big powerful man, that was a pitiful performance against a natural cruiserweight. He looks a shadow of the man who fought Vladimir. To an extent I think the hype has contributed to his downfall. Whyte has already been KOd twice, and was saved by the bell against Parker. Wilder has been beat a couple times now, but still has the equalizer, and the heart of a champion. Not a Wilder fan but unlike AJ he lost like a gladiator. AJs 2 defeats were arguably both submissions. That leaves Fury and Usyk as the only 2 undefeated. I think Fury just mauls him to the point of exhaustion. Chisora had the right idea, but came up short, but is clearly not on Furys level.

Fury very well may have lost the fight had he fought Joshua or Usyk in the place of Wilder with a performance like that as he wasn't boxing to instruction, or perhaps there was an issue in camp -- Joshua's most likely crying that he didn't take the Fury fight in that case. I do hope this is a wakeup call, similar to what happened in the Wallin fight. He could have got wilder out of there earlier if he didn’t smother his work so much. However his skill set beats anybody else’s skill set and usyk will be his biggest challenge. I see him beating aj on points or potential late stoppage and I see him having a tough tricky fight with usyk and MAYBE winning a close points decision

@Llama Treee I think he’d stop Joshua but I could also see it going to points tbh. If he came in at 270 again then yeah I could completely see him blasting Joshua out

I'm a huge Fury fan. And although Fury beat Wilder at the weekend, I said straight away after the fight, that Fury was not at his best, particularly to start off with, that strong stiff jab wasn't being utilised as frequently, his footwork seemed slower, his very well calculated pressure in the second fight didn't seem as refined this time round, and for a lot of the fight his feints were non existent and his head movement was not as fluid. Although he did improve on all of these as the fight went on, almost as if the knockdown woke him up from some complacency. Personally I think with Fury on his A game, it will be quite unlikely for anyone else to beat him, but at the weekend, he showed us again, that even during a title fight, he can switch off, or not be as well prepared as perhaps he should of, and if he faces Usyk, AJ or Whyte etc, and they are on their A game, and Fury isn't, I would still pick Fury to be honest, but I would not be surprised in the slightest if he got beat, and of course anything can happen, you could very well see AJ or anyone else, not at his best, and Fury at his best, and one punch could very easily change everything. Yet i've thought for a while stylistically AJ would give Fury the most problems, but based on his confidence and performances at the moment, unless things change, I think there's a decent chance Fury could go undefeated.

Funny after that Wilder Fury trilogy I'm actually scared for AJ the most. Wilder will certainly have gained the respect of many other fighters even though he's so technically limited. I was in awe of how force that right hand rippled through Fury's body before he went down. Fury is a proper fighting man but he definitely has his flaws. Fury is my first choice but I do like Wilder and AJ and of the three only Fury seems to really know what he's doing and strange enough I'm expecting Wilder to rack up more wins (the losses will have taught him a lot and he'll really not have to fear anyone except Fury). AJ on the other hand just seems to be getting worse and it's really alarming at this point. He needs to get that dog back in him. Stop trying to be this people pleasing character and bring back the wickedness and spire in his style.

In an ideal world, if any division has all the belts between only 2 fighters, the undisputed unification fight should be enforced as a mandatory by all sanctioning bodies or the fighters be stripped if they refuse, and the belts go back into the mix for all the other contenders to pick up. Would stop all these divisions being held up by politics and posturing. Of course, this is boxing so that would be far to simple a solution

Great video man. Personally I'd favor Fury but there's always that unpredictability with that guy. Something else to think about that very few people are talking about, Wilder was gassed at the end of round 2 and Fury couldn't put him away, I feel that Joshua and Usyk would have completely taken advantage of that. In short Usyks win over Joshua is a better win than Fury over Wilder a guy who he's already knocked out. We need these guys to fight each other. They are all 50/50 in their own way.

Don’t forget professional boxing is a business first and a sport second and so much of being a good businessman is having excellent marketing a big reason since Floyd Mayweather that a 0 in the loss column of a fighters record has become such a big selling point for promoters to use even more so than having a championship belt when pretty much every single all time great has lost at some point in their career (muhammad ali, mike tyson, sugar ray robinson, tommy hearns, roberto duran, joe louis, roy jones jr, sugar ray leonard, willie pep etc). Fury is immense and either the best or the 2nd best heavyweight on the planet at present but until you have beaten all contenders in the top 3/5 you can’t truly call yourself the ‘best of a generation’. If he beats usyk, aj he can proudly make this claim as much as he wants. I personally want Fury to face Usyk next, i have no idea how that fight will go either. Joshua needs to get back to the fighter he used to be. He changed his approach after realizing he couldn't KO Ruiz when Ruiz was taking huge punches, that have KO'd other opponents, and kept moving forward. He also needs to protect his head better. He has shown himself to be highly susceptible to punches to the right side of his head. Whyte wobbled him, Ruiz knocked him down and Usyk rocked him with punches to the same spot. Much like Whyte is susceptible to the uppercut.

Yeah I agree, Fury is the best HW if this era of he’s able to defeat his mandatory and become undisputed by defeating the AJ vs Usyk winner. Can’t say he’s the best cause he defeated one HW almost everyone agrees was a limited fighter two times. Fury stopped Wilder last year and again this year, we need to see him do more than just defeat Wilder in order to crown him the best. If he’s undisputed, then there’s no dispute. Just like Teo can’t be the best at 135 until he takes Devin Haney’s WBC belt. The greats faced and defeated everyone, Ray Leonard didn’t just defeat Duran, he defeated Hearns and Hagler as well. Just imagine Ray defeating Duran and then everyone says he’s the best when there’s other top fighters out there wanting to fight him. Fury could be the best and he could prove it in just two fights.

Right now you would put him as number #1. However, he has only beat 2 good fighters - Wilder & Klitschko. Klitschko was 38 years old and it was a dull, boring and impressive win for Fury - but he was still 38 and on a decline. He also avoided the rematch. He has also beaten Wilder who is one of the worst “boxer” Heavyweight champions in history. He is bailed out by his right hand time and time again, but who has Wilder beat? A very old Luis Ortiz twice. For me, Fury has to beat Joshua / Whyte / Usyk to cement his legacy. Those are all huge fights, especially in monetary terms.
