Came to report that using chaos knights as the main front line is epic and practical. Never used cav as my front before and it’s pretty awesome.

You can do a similar thing with Bretonnia, Questing Knights making a surprisingly strong frontline unit and Grail Guardians are a dedicated front-line cavalry. I think up until game 3 Bretonnia was the only faction with dedicated frontline cav.

They have the ability to get in and out fast so they can charge their barriers.

You can do it as late game Bretonnia or ChaosWarriors too. It's rather amazing.

I remember that working very well as Imrik with dragon princes in game 2, thanks to the very generous buffs to them in his skill tree. I can only imagine it works even better now that cavalry is stronger in game 3.

Just as a note: while Fateweaver does suck as a battler right out of the box he can become a disgusting front liner with items like the Blade of Slaanesh and his ability that gives him damage resist while casting. Charge him onto the enemy lord, drop 5 spells (incredible single target spells), and pull him out to cycle shortly after his shield drops.

thank you for the help i'm finally on Tzentch. he's the one i saved for last cause i figured i wouldn't like him and i just was having a much harder time figure out how to make his forces work in battle.

Blue horrors have more models then pink witch actually makes them much better at taking damage and holding, ussuly treat blues like front liner+range, well pinks I treat as primary rear line range with melee capabilities if needed.

Narrowing their formation makes them last awhile due to high unit count compared to most infantry, and back lines will toss in shots every so often. Line like three side by side and they’ll win the frontline against most standard line holders and even tougher ones.

BTW the chariot mount also comes with 2 blue horrors that add a bit of ranged attacks its not shown but tested it a couple of times and it will deal a lot more damage in a battle then the disc.

Make sure to purchase the Warriors of Chaos DLC; It adds units to all of the daemonic factions that are a massive improvement. Adds highly armored beefy units, including the Chaos Sorcerer Lord for Tzeentch. Starts with 80 armor and their red tree is pretty overpowered when paired with the other non-daemonic infantry that the DLC adds; They get Lore of Tzeentch/Lore of Metal same as the heralds with the tradeoff being they can't be evolved into anything once they gain levels since Path to Glory isn't something daemonic factions have access too. I played a bunch of campaigns as Nurgle before figuring this out. Being able to grab a heavily armored lord to guard my early settlements when I need a second army is a huge boon, and in the case of Tzeentch you get solid frontline units. Chaos Sorcerer Lord with maxed red passive for chaos warriors = Chaos Warriors with 122 armor + shield + barrier as Tzeentch.

with the addition of warrior of chaos DLC frontlines is pretty much covered with some chosen as your frontline while your exalted pink horrors cause damage to kingdom come

screamers are absolutely amazing vs cavalry, pin the cav with infantry and rear charge with the screamersé or simply send a unit of screeamers and furies

What do the unit tiers mean? Cuz lords of change for example are tier 3 units, but on the campaign you need tier 5 building to hire them, so...

So is it better to evolve the heralds or keep them small, just wondering cause I want to know if it's better to keep them small with mount or as exalted, like say you are keeping them as strictly fast moving spell casters.

Herald on a disc is 105 speed while the exalted lord of change is 90 speed that can still fly plus like 86% more health and better all around stats so if it is caught out it's less likely to die. You can always play around in custom battles to see what you like though.

Long term the exalted lord of change is far better since it can actually brawl and cause terror if needed. Short term, you lose a bunch of levels which means that you'll be behind on your lord trees for quite awhile.

I am a firm believer in using Knights for your frontline. It's extremely counterintuitive, but they are definitely the tankiest part of the roster.

Is this for SP or MP? Cause I must say, I disagree with that last army. I've found Soul Grinders of Tzeench to be close to useless, and definitely not worth the money they cost. Replace them with more Exalted Pink Horrors (or almost any other late game unit - Doom Knights, Chaos Knights, Lords of Change... whatever), and I bet you'll get more bang for your buck. I'd also, personally, reduce the number of Forsaken in the last army. Maybe keep a few if you want, but a little under 1/3 of your army being Forsaken is not a good way to go late game. I'd instead have 6 Exalted Pink Horrors, and use the free summons you can unlock as faction and hero/lord abilities if things get dicey in melee. Unfortunately, I also find some issues with the mid-tier army. You talked about Screamers being pretty much crap (obviously paraphrasing here), and then shove 6 into the army? I don't see why anyone would ever hire Screamers ever - they are easily the worst unit in the Tzeench roster. Furies are better, and they're cheaper and more replaceable. Get rid of the Screamers, maybe have 3-4 Furies for harassment of enemy ranged units, and invest in more Pink Horrors or perhaps Chaos Knights.

Quick question for anyone who plays, I've always been interested in playing a Total War game and the Warhammer series looks the best to me, should I start with Warhammer 3 or should I start with 2 or 1? Is there any serious problem starting with TW:WH3? What would you do? Thanks.

3 is the most refined and has a prologue tutorial campaign so it’s for sure the best. That being said the realms of chaos can get repetitive if you don’t own immortal empires so be prepared to buy them all if you want to full experience

Your videos are the BEST at explaining strategy for the different races in Warhammer 3. Your analysis and explanation are brilliant. But PLEASE, slow down your speaking pace. When you are speaking that quickly you have a tendency to chop off the first syllable of several words, and it is very frustrating to back up to try to figure out what that word is. Thank you sir.

Hey, I just skipped 10 sec in your vid and you already missed the most important point about exalted pink horrors, the skill Arcane Mirth helps you generating winds of magic. Due to the extremely slow replenishment rate of the Tzeentch faction, it's the only real selling point for them. I saw that you constantly miss critical points every time I look into one of your vids, maybe you should get some help form a WH TW pro. No offense meat. Your explanations and visualization are really good, you just need to get the details right.
