子瑜的歌聲總是異常的乾淨、純粹，似乎找不到不好的地方，這點在與他人合唱時會顯得吃虧，子瑜在近年進步很多，個人唱歌技巧越來越好，發聲的位置也開始有變化，這次專輯裡面可以聽到最基本的胸腔共鳴、還有頭聲、假聲，以及一些有趣的轉音，和強弱變化，我們的子瑜長大了!

9:29 yeah I feel like her vocals has always been underappreciated, but every time I hear her vocals on a TWICE song, it's always been very full-sounding and pleasing. Her vocal tone is suitable for melodies with an ascending feel to it, idk if that makes sense, and there are a couple songs that feature that well. Personally, one of the times I realized she has a potential to do a solo was when I heard her part in 'The Feels', the one with 'baby I, whoa' with that quick belty 'whoa'. I can definitely see her improvement through the years and I feel like she has a distinctly mature vocal color now that's perfect for dance tracks and ballads. So so happy she's getting her flowers now.

(Tzuyu): "The lyrics are about love, but they felt similar to my situation, preparing for my solo debut. Though I felt fear, I decided to take on the challenge wholeheartedly, as this has always been my dream." ✨'abouTZU' a play on the word "about" and her name, symbolizing a personal exploration of emotions and behind-the-scenes moments that she has kept private until now (Tzuyu): "At first, I hesitated with worries and concerns, but since becoming a solo artist had been a long-held dream, I approached it with determination to give it my all, [...] This album reflects everything I am, and I hope people will see me not just as TWICE's youngest member, but as a captivating solo artist." (source: The Korea Herald, The Korea Times, Sep. 5th 2024) 👉 So one possible (and seems reasonably supported by the singer herself, too, considering the content above) interpretation of the message in "Run Away" could be that Tzuyu is finally able to go beyond her past image/traumas, which have deeply affected her self expression over the years, and is ready to show the world her true colors / go for her dream as solo artist. (P.s. The trauma was mainly caused by the "Taiwan flag incident", which occurred only less then 3 months after TWICE's debut) Thanks so much for your video and can't wait to see more! 😃

My first comeback was talk that talk, and HELL WAS IT CRAZYYYY it felt like I was in a revolution LOL. I had goosebumps all over my body. It was technically my first group comeback, but I had been keeping up with twice before nayeon’s first album. The feels was like 3 months old or something haha. I remember waking up and going to school so hyped with the feels on my headphones 😂

12:10 lmao even Nayeon said earlier today "you could screenshot any part and she'd be flawless and pretty everytime" but also i agree, her vocals during that specific part in talk that talk really surprised me, it kinda led me to keep searching for those type of moments in other twice songs bc i felt like i had lowkey been sleeping on tzuyu's vocals up until then. I've really grown to love her voice and even more so now in this song + the b-sides in her album (which was also released today)

Tzuyu has amazing vocals, its always been underrated. But thats to be expected when lead vocals r nayeon jihyo and jeongie. The whole maknae line is so unique vocally, and every song from the melody projects to now have been bops. Im proud of her.

Twice debuted on the 20th of October in 2015, so almost 9 years ago! Tzuyu was 16 years old at debut (born in June of 1999) Chaeyoung was 16 years old at debut (born in April of 1999) Dahyun was 17 years old at debut (born in May of 1998) Mina was 18 years old at debut (born in March of 1997) Jihyo was 18 years old at debut (born in February of 1997) Sana was 18 years old at debut (born in December of 1996) Momo was 18 years old at debut (born in November of 1996) Jeongyeon was 18 years old at debut (born in November of 1996) Nayeon was 20 years old at debut (born in September of 1995)

The way I would characterize Tzuyu's role in Twice is that skill wise, she's middle of the pack-- surprisingly solid at everything but a very neutral tone that's lacking in identifiable qualities, so it's usually more of a support role that goes unnoticed (which is why people were surprised by the solo). I'd say she's a way more technically competent and stable singer than Dahyun, Momo, and Sana. In the songs, after Jihyo, Nayeon, and Jeongyeon have done the hard parts/high notes, if they need someone else to fill in a reasonably challenging bit, Tzuyu's kind of used like the default reserve who can also pull them off and fill in the holes (Mina and Chaeyoung's vocals are at least as good/important overall, but they're more specialized and generally don't get the lines that require power). Regardless of talent, though, her looks are undeniably a huge catalyst for Twice's success (especially early on), as superficial as that is. She's the #1 most popular member in a ton of international countries largely because of that (and I don't think there are many countries where she isn't among the top). Personality-wise, her blank-faced "I'm barely present, but I'll say anything at any time" randomness and sarcasm is very endearing as well.
