U-40 Bucket List Racing Flip w/Telemetry: 2023 Madison Regatta Final Heat

Onboard with Dustin Echols during the Final Heat at the 2023 Madison Regatta in Madison Regatta, with telemetry showing speed (MPH), N2% (speed of the turbine engine's power turbines), fuel rate (in gallons per minute) and G-loading in both ball-type gauge and moving graph showing peaks.
Note that the boat (and driver) endured peak loads of 9.97 Gs on re-entry to the Ohio River, almost breaking the boat in half (note buckling of the deck behind the cowl), but leaving Dustin essentially uninjured.

Thank you for the telemetry! As he was going about 172 MPH, (At about 6min into the video) you do see the boat going from side to side on the sponsons. That is as fast as you can go, before trouble occurs and it did. Awesome video. Back in the earlier days, the driver would have been ejected from the boat and suffer serious injuries. Glad they have an enclosed cockpit to keep them safe. My dad got tossed out of a smaller hydro back in the 50's and broke ribs in multiple places. That's when mom said to hang up his racing helmet as at there were 5 kids at home. Dad did that, but was involved in hydroplane racing until his passing.

I have high hopes for them this year with the flip and the disqualification because of a nonsense call in my book he had bad luck last year.
