I don't understand why you have to build an overground station and cover it up so it looks that dark. It does not "feel safe", because it doesn't feel open. Which is ok in an underground station, but overground you can and should make use of daylight. Which could've been solved easily, with the two platforms on the right side the roof doesn't need to cover all of the station. Or what about a glass roof? There are many underground stations that are more apeealing.

Yes, a glass roof would make sense or at least some lightwells. Even without it, the station would look more friendly if the ceiling wasn't so low. The station Rauhes Haus in Hamburg has a similar look by the way.
