Existential anxiety is a silly thing happiness is what you’re really looking for. Would you really want to know everything? Would you want unlimited power? By him grounded people I mean he makes a mockery of things people give to much priority too, like god, religion, spirituality. Even the enlightened must take a shit and pay taxes.

Most people believe they're not a part of a larger ecosystem that's stability depends on humans living in harmony with it. We do what we want without any concern. What he was saying is, reality (if there's such thing as reality) is not knowable. Whatever you are is none other than reality, which is not knowable. Whatever you are has no need to know either because it's already perfection. There's no "you" that needs to go outside of you to know yourself. Therefore, any attempt to know is illusory.

Enlightenment is just a concept in mind. True enlightenment is the recognition that there's no "one" to get enlightened. That is why UG said to the interviewer that he is not "one" who got enlightened. However, then listeners didn't get what he was talking about, kept thinking that UG is the "one" that got enlightened. In other words, "UG" as person only exists as a concept in the perceiver's mind. The perceived "UG" of course is not intelligent. There's no YOU, no me, no UG. What is here? not knowable! and no need to know! Once the illusion of knowing is seen through, that's the calamity that UG refers to. There's no need to seek meaning of any kinds. There's no need to get enlightened because there's no YOU, no ME, no others to get anything. There's no real mind to think either. Whatever left over is unthinkable, infinitely non-resolvable by mind. In other words, UG's message is exactly the same message as Budha's NO MIND or emptiness, although UG doesn't like to use these conceptions.

Moesy Pittounikos That's probably a very good question. To some, UG is brilliant, to some he is rude and wrong in everything, to some he is just someone talking. What i like in UG is that : - he doesn't preach a spiritual or religious view - he rather invites people to be skeptical - he presents a view on life which is acausal, things are because things are, and understanding it is a brain condition, a rather rare one - he can say things like "my body will rot like the one of a garden slug" almost right in front of death, knowing he could die within minutes - he is funny - he doesn't sell bullshit - he has personal and original opinions This is enough for me to think he is brilliant.

And he can, negate everything, but he cannot negate the very fact that he's negating, so where does that lead us to? Affirmation. His negation leads to affirmation. Affirmation of what? The very thought process he's negating! So it is a circular exercise leading to a delusionary satisfaction as long as one is ignorant about it. And that is the whole point. That there are better ways. You don't need to negate it, as that is just another expression. You need to accept expressions, understand them in order to transcend them..and so on so forth..
