Ya, the engineering standard for some parts of the freeway system are ancient... Fortunate enough, traffic was light at the time and I didn't need to worry about exiting traffic.

I highly believe the best and most reliable way to get from Toronto to New York City is by taking the NY State thruway all the way from I290 straight down to the Bronx via Albany because the benefit of having tolls and fewer exits on the thruway is to ensure a faster and safe drive.
