I attempted two times to clear MRCOG . I'm 20 yrs post my Speciality in OG, n I'm very truthful in saying this... MRCOG part 1 is so bookish and statistically oriented exams. For someone who subspecialises in Laparoscopic Surgery and ObsGyn imaging, I can't study hours to keep track of statistics about pathologies, which the Part 1 exams are all about . Not that I'm keen to join UK med forces, but I love earning degrees and fellowships. Sadly, MRCOG still eludes me. Let me know, how best i prepare to sit again for that exam. Btw, you look gorgeous!

At what level and in what branche a md pathologist with 6 yrs experience is going to be regarded as overqualified? 2. Can a consultant doctor in india, apply strtaway into ct-1 level, ? 3. Is doing a nonclinical job even after GMC registration a must, in order to bag a clinical job ?
@gloriaalva87812 жыл бұрын
Doctor J. 1. This assumes that you are going to change your stream from pathology. In that case you are just starting afresh in your new specialty. You will not be offered reduced traning due to your prior training. 2. CT1 is the first step of higher training. You will not be able to skip FY2 is thats what you mean. 3. If you want to get a job and not go in training , it is entirely up to you.

@@drvictor5920 You are right to be cautious. British universities are allowed to charge much higher fees to foreigners, so they have started a lot of diploma and degree courses which are rarely taken by locals and so do not fit into the training pathways for the medical or other professions. The candidates HOPE that the degree will be recognised "back home," even if they count for nothing here, if it comes from a famous institution. I think major private hospitals in India know about the specialist training pathway in the UK, so it's not certain that they will give credit for having one of these degrees alone, WITHOUT a certificate of completion of clinical training.
