There's a huge community of yancore RP/blogging on tumblr where people basically pretend to be obsessive+crazy yanderes and most of the posts read like Mag's writing and have included photos of writing in blood, and often include cannibalism as either a fantasy that ties them to their love interest forever, or a metaphor for the "consuming" nature of their love. This honestly just feels like a Tumblr yanderecore (aesthetic) blog, but instead in Reddit format. Likely a traumatized teenager venting about their attachment issues/writing out fantasies, nothing more. Obsession is typical more harmful to the obsessor than the person being obsessed over because of the intense mental stress it brings. Though I think it might just as likely be a weeb teenager's yandere roleplay. Especially with the stuff about the love to violence connection, that sounds like its ripped straight out of a stereotypical yandere's mindset lmao. About the cannibalism, murder and guro stuff... Just sounds like his version of sexual fantasies. Again, there's a ton of art, writing and even games that cater to this niche specifically- It would make more sense than him actually being a murdered or whatever, or even having a genuine desire to harm anyone else. The visual novel connection makes no sense to me, though. I think you underestimated how many of these types of games existed and, because of that, made a connection too easily. Of the top of my head I can already list plenty of these types of games (Boyfriend to Death 1 & 2, The Price of Flesh, Don't Romance Me, 14 Days With You, Your Boyfriend Game, Lovers Trophy, and more.). Sometimes it's called a 'murdersim' or 'horrorporn' if it's a western visual novel, for Japanese ones a term such as (ero)guro is more common.

Something to note that might further rule out the Visual Novel connection is that that kind of story is actually a really popular genre of horror within some edgier anime fan communities and the "character" mag is seemingly trying to present himself as is basically the most stereotypical depiction of the kinds of characters in that genre in general so most of the connections made there can easily be explained away by that.

A lot of what this person writes sounds like a vent piece or just plain and simple roleplaying. i would say that the visual novel being connected to mag is absolutely a stretch just because that novel is only one in literal dozens to hundreds of games that literally deal with either u playing a character who gets together with the weirdo, or u play the weirdo yourself (a good example being something like Boyfriend to Death) and these are mainly popular with either people who have the want to like fantisize about dating a serial killer closer to the likes of ted bundy than michael myers but also VERY popular with teenagers who also wanna fantisize about dating a murderer or to just play at being edgy hell the concept of a "Bad End" is so prevalent in otome and visual novel games that some will even put fake, over the top, not aligned with the plot at all apocalypse level endings in their games as easter eggs even the way andre is written isnt fully original as there are other visual novels who will have a character be into just as horrific things and if its not just one character, it will be a cast where all those things are spread out and essentially act as their "quirk" in a way

the "blood" in their pictures is 100% not blood. haven't personally tried writing with blood specifically, but I have had dark enough times and also enough misfortune to know how blood looks on paper and tissues and etc. the 'made this for my crush' picture is the best example- not to get too graphic, but blood on printer paper/cardstock would never be darker where its thickest and lighter where it's smeared, especially if 'fresh'. there's also a syringe picture where, for some reason, it's the only blood in the world where inside the syringe is the darkest and it gets lighter as it spreads through something absorbent. "oxidized" also does not just mean "it got darker", anyone who has experienced more than a papercut can tell you that blood doesn't stay the consistency of water while turning dark brown/black still a really odd situation that's interesting to hear about, but obvious fiction stuff is so boring and shifts me way more towards assuming it's just a deliberately creepy rando who's not even doing a good job at it. we're out here reverse image searching and deep faking, but meanwhile I guess spending $10 on some gouache and some ink is evergreen

You brought up the game at the end, and honestly, it reminded me of a similar one. Boyfriend to Death. It's about you choosing to go with various men at a bar, all of which kill/torture you in multiple ways. It particularly reminds me of BTD2, to the point I think this person might be roleplaying as the character Lawerence. Lawerence doesn't cannibalize the player (at least to my memory.) But he is implied to be a necrophile and in one of the endings, he amputates you, similar to what the poster mentioned. Lawerence also has a crush on another character (Ren) Ren I think could also be a contender for who they might be roleplaying as. Ren is a cannibal, an otaku (similar to the poster), and has an obsessive love for his abuser. I don't really know if this IS the case, and they are RPing as one of them, but I thought I might mention it anyways.

There are other series that cover these exact same themes, boyfriend to death being an example. That game series has cannibalism, self harm, murder, stalking, and even drugging the reader character at a bar to take them home and torture them with extremely graphic and sexual tones. I've been on the internet for too long, especially on the anime side of the internet. I feel like this is probably a mix of a fetish/kink and maybe some weird coping mechanism thing as well. As you mentioned, he is into guro. A LOT of guro consists of things like cannibalism, murder, etc. It's something most anime fans who have been on the internet a long time just shrug at. The first time it's shocking, the second time it's still strange, and everything after that is just like, "Oh, great, more guro." Maybe you'll block the user who posts it, most people do, but I'd bet the majority of guro fans are aware that it's only fiction. A lot of the things you posted sounds like... fiction. Roleplay. He's probably some kid who just has no outlet and wants to interact with people in the guro community through roleplay. The catgirl thing made me giggle; isn't niche in the anime community... at all. Look up Nekopara if you dare. It's been around for a loooong time. He's probably into some petplay thing as well. His posts make me think that he has some attachment issues. While the contents are disturbing, this is a very common thing in the niche communities of guro fans. Most guro fans have some trauma or something as well, hence why I believe he likely has a therapist. The parts where he said he's murdered people also feel like roleplay. As you said, his therapist would be legally obligated to report him if he did do anything serious. Maybe they're trying to make him open up more, and this coping mechanism is helping him get through that. As for why he made a whole subreddit: maybe he wants his life to be put online, where he'll continue to have a "footprint" even if Reddit deletes it. Maybe he's venting online because he has no one else around him in real life. From the sound of it, he's lonely and clings onto old "relationships". EDIT: Got to the end, this DOES seem like a potential ad for the visual novel.

Guro is a lot more socially acceptable and common than most would think. I've been into horror anything, movies (both western and not), horrorcore music (mostly western but Japanese Visual Kei bands like dir en grey played around w the aesthetic when they just started up), art, guro manga and body horror (Junji Ito is popular af, thats body horror. Suehiro Maruo is also a popular mangaka in this niche and ultra gash inferno was an ero-guro hit involving some less common topics like coprophilia [if you know you know]). My best experience was going to a niche indie movie festival that is called FetiFest since they finally got it over from Japan to Europe a few years ago. It was held at a cult movie theatre that mostly plays original reels the old school way and has events such as audience participation RHPS and shows the Room with audience participation on a monthly basis, but i was genuinely surprised by the amount of "normal" people attending AND staying to the end. As far as i could see no one opted to leave early which was something because one of the films there even made me viscerally cringe and want to close my eyes due to its rawness. I mean, these films are pretty much gone now since they were only shown at 2 viewings, the one i attended and one in Japan. But you can still find parts of them floating about on the internet. In case anyone is curious and is a fan, just reply to this comment and I'll dig up what i can especially because i really want more people to know about that one trailer where a school girl kills god with a guitar chainsaw as well as shredding the uh, *rear end* of a man she found in the trash using him as her "amplifier". Back to the point though, there were at least 100 people attending that event in my city, none of which left, so they either dipped their toes into it and their curiosity was piqued, or they were prior fans. The subject of this video seems like a regular old roleplayer and I'm not gonna psychoanalyze. But personally I'd keep these things to myself or maybe in general discussions w friends online, not out in the open. The manic states don't even seem too unusual to me since i have times where i write hardly coherent texts in rapid fire to anyone and everyone when my adhd acts up. When i did visual arts in highschool i did a whole guro/body horror exhibition, 2 of the pieces were made in my own blood and laminated to prevent any bacterial contamination (unintentional reference to a guro vocaloid 3d animated music video lol, if you know you know). Since they claim to be around the same age i was back then, this seems totally alright to me. Now many years later i still partake in the aesthetic but it doesn't take up nearly as much of my time and space, but i still indulge in the art and headspace but don't get judged for it. Tldr: just read the whole thing you can't tldr this.

I’m gonna go on a limb here and say this is a middle school kid (or early high school) RPing as a yandere. Here’s why: - they refer to recess, which is something high schoolers don’t get in America - their interactions w/ their therapist sounds made up, like a kid who doesn’t know what an adult therapy session is like - this overall just has a very anime feel to it. Like casually romanticizing killing people as “a show of love” I don’t doubt this kid has problems, but it kinda sounds like something I would’ve concocted at the age of 13, in a way I can’t really articulate. The problem is when you’re 13 you start getting exposed to adult concepts more often (death, puberty/sexual feelings, more intricate emotions) and so you don’t know how to contextualize it yet. In my case, I started having mental health problems I didn’t know how to cope with, and ended up absorbing myself in fantasy/anime. The violent anime plus unlimited access to poor message boards confronted me with some stuff that genuinely didn’t hit me fully until years later. I’ll bet this kid is going to be fine. He seems all talk. On a side note, his story heavily reminds me of Full Coarse for Candy Addicts, a song about a woman who eats her boyfriend to make him stay with him forever. At the end of the song even, she repeatedly sings “suki” (“I love you”) which reminds me this guy’s letter having “aishite” (also “I love you”) written in blood. The only reason I mention this is because this is the kind of music I’d listen to at 13. Also, I don’t think this kid and the dev are the same person. Their art styles are very different, and if I’m right about this guy being a kid then that game just doesn’t feel like something a kid could make (again, for reasons I can’t articulate).

Even before you brought up the visual novel I was thinking it could be a creative writing exercise. I highly doubt this guy's actually a serial killer cannibal, the internet's anonymous but not "that" anonymous, and if he really were a serial killer I think either the police, the feds, or both would have found the account and could track him, especially if he's American. Dedicated writers try to get into their characters' headspace in a similar way to how actors do, though, especially if it's a first person story. This might be an exercise in which he role plays this character to develop it and also see how people respond to it. As someone who enjoys creative writing myself it's...not a bad idea, actually, but he should at some point reveal that it's just fiction so people don't actually worry. His claims are pretty outrageous, he might even assume that few people would take it seriously and most would see it as an ARG or role play. Or maybe I just don't want to believe that this guy's actually into this stuff, lol. Also, quick note on the therapist commentary, as a practicing therapist in the U.S. myself: We can only break confidentiality for future crimes, i.e. if a patient tells me they are going to harm or kill someone (or themselves), or the ongoing abuse, neglect, or exploitation of a child, elderly person, or otherwise vulnerable individual. There are a few other niche legal situations, but those are the main clinical situations in which confidentiality would be broken, and as part of informed consent we tell patients this at the beginning of therapy. If this guy is telling the truth, he could either be smart enough to leave out any future plans to harm anyone and his therapist would have no idea (the guy who shot Reagan never told his therapist about any of his Jodie Foster/Taxi Driver obsessions and delusions), or he may have only reported past crimes, which a therapist has no ethical or legal duty to report. If a patient tells me they have killed three people and got away with it, but denied any intent to harm anyone else, I would actually be committing an ethical violation by breaking confidentiality and reporting that person. Also, we don't always have the solutions, there are sometimes patients with too many and/or too serious mental health problems to effectively treat, and even when we can it's not usually a fast process, especially for someone like this. If this is real and he does have a therapist, they might not be incompetent so much as overwhelmed and doing their best to keep the person at least marginally functioning. Speaking from experience with the seriously and chronically mentally ill, here. Sometimes just keeping them out of the psychiatric hospital for a few months straight is a win.

Just a creepy edgelord weeb. He will mature and just become a some kind of furry fem boy. What seems consistent is that he sexualised and fell for someone who bullied him. This isn’t uncommon, people with major self esteem issues come from sexualising traumas as a coping mechanism. Deep down there is a normal person inside who had been deeply broken beyond recovery of their old selves. So they adopt a new persona, with the internet. Still, better online than offline…

The E.loved artstyle really says some things about the artist, I'm a artist myself and you can deduce a lot about a person's artstyle heres a few things I noticed: The muscles and body form are hyper styled, so this person has some sort of fetish of muscular men and feminine men from the hips and waist, this could also mean a fetishization of trans men much like r.c. dart (I think that was their usernsme) did back when they got into some hot water for over sexualizing a trans representation of a character. The face could be a possibility of a few things, they could be a furry that really never drew humans before, they are the aforementioned R C or possibly they have some sort of fear of looking at others are where trained to draw realistically but wanted to cartoonishly change the style. The shading and coloring of the character gives me the vibe that this person is really, really into blood and guro to the point their style focuses on severd limbs and meaty images. I could look over it some more but I think this could be RC takekng on a new identity to avoid the shit they got into or they are the same person and the art they commented on could have been their own to draw attention to their game.

i thought of rcdart immediately too!! the small head and ridiculously large chest and ridiculously small waist really reminds me of their style.
@arantxaortiz27572 жыл бұрын
Or maybe instead of the trans fetish angle they're more likely a JoJo/Berserk fan because their art style looks like an exaggerated version of these mangas' early chapters. Also those series are very popular with gore obsessed teen weebs.

@@arantxaortiz2757 I'm a jono fan and jojo never really did such a thin waist and along with berserk unless it's some starved creature that was ment to look inhuman.
