These are actually the LHS (Load Handling System). The little brother to the PLS (Palletized Load System). The PLS can handle 55,000 pounds this can handle 33,600 pounds properly distributed. The black device that they are using to pick up the containers is the ECHU (Enhanced Cargo Handling Unit). Useful for picking up containers that don’t have a hook attachment on them. It can pick up a 20-foot container no problems. Just be sure where you’re putting it is on firm ground. Seen way to many accidents because the container “jumped” the hook on sandy ground.

I appreciate all the info you provided here, it's more than I've been able ti find myself. I'm doing a project over PLS's and LHS's. Do you have more info you could provide or a place of reference I could look into?

LHS and PLS are both used. Apparently to tell the difference is the number of rear axles. LHS has 2, PLS has 3 PLS 0:00 LHS 0:56
