This holds special interest for me, in my heart, as my ol' man, my dad, was in the Horse Cavalry in WWII, before WWII was mechanized. McGuire Airforce Base was one of the first Military Bases to be built. Those men in the Horse Cavalry helped build those Military Bases. EVery day my dad put his boots on, (riding boots), and I was born 1957. My ol' man was born 1910. When RONALD REAGAN died, the riderless horse had REAGANS' Cavalry boots in the stirrups, backwards, (they do that for all Presidents). The same boots my ol' man wore. "Ol' Man", is a term of respect - even though my mom didn't take too well to, "Ol' Lady" 😂 When they found the bones of the US CAVALRY soldiers who fought in Little Big Horn, they're lower vertebrae were squashed together - talk about lower back pain!!?? This was due to the fact that our US CAVALRY men spent inordinate amounts of time in the saddle. Thanks for this two part film on our, US CAVALRY🐴 🐎

1. Maybe two thousand warriors. However many, not exactly “thousands upon thousands.” 2. Many First Nations warriors have borne witness to the Battle of the Greasy Grass*. Please read ‘Lakota Noon’ by Gregory Michno.

I've always appreciated history. That's why I need to point out your error in constantly saying Gen. Custer. His permanent rank at the time of his debacle at Little Big Horn was Lt. Col. Also, he always believed that rules did not apply to him.

True that he was only a Lt Col at the time of his death but it was a tradition of the era to refer to an officer by the highest rank he attained. Many Civil War officers were referred to by their Civil War ranks.
