Join me as I begin my Conquest Campaign as the U.S. Forces.
Conquest is a game mode where you take turns attacking and defending points along a strategic map. You start with basic units and divisions and unlock new units as you progress, giving you access to better and more powerful vehicles and weapons.

--Using Dynamite: You can click the TnT button and it lobbs lit TnT like a short range grenade. You did this accidentally a couple times --Using Remote Bombs (different than TnT but explode like TnT): (To further clarify on what you ended up discovering) You click and place the remote bomb. The unit's "remote bomb" in their inventory is replaced with a "detonator" item. The detonator can be given to others and drops on death. Select the unit carrying the detonator for the remote bomb you want to trigger. Mouse over the planted bomb itself and you will get a cogs icon, you can then click (or right click...the distinction is a mess in this game) and it will detonate the bomb and remove the detonator from inventory. --Seeing units You can turn on silhouettes with one of the buttons in the bottom right. (there is also dead bodies and interactables highlighting) Related Protip: Maps usually have hidden boxes with all kinds of amazing gear and ammo on them. They also tend to have usable manned-guns and "abandoned" vehicles. --Selecting guns WHEN IN DIRECT CONTROL you can hit 1,2,3,4,etc to select that gun. If the gun has several ammo types, you can hit it's number to select it and then, when selected, hitting it's number again cycles though the ammo types. --EXP and unlocks You pretty much got it, but a fun querk of the system...if you have a TON of silver XP on a unit that goes above the cost of everything it can possibly unlock next (some units branch into up to 3 other things), you get that extra as free XP, i dont think the conversion is 1-to-1. For example, your rifleman recruits unlock the BAR (283xp) and the recon plane (63xp). If you had more than the 346 needed to unlock those on your rifleman squad, you could unlock them both but any left over would become free xp...SO, if you never take planes and always use rifle teams, you will build a massive amount of XP up on them, then when you finally unlock the piper scout, you will get a huge infusion of free XP. (probably an exploit, I have never dug into the conversion numbers, but it is a thing). --Tips for defense Infantry with shovels have a trench option, but next to that there is an exploding shovel button. This makes them go prone and very quickly dig a little foxhole IN THE DIRECTION THEY ARE FACING. Good cover from the sides and more shrapnel resistance. If you click it again when they are done and laying in the foxhole, they dig it deeper to crouching hight. It gives them better field of view and 360 engagement with very good protection from all kinds of bad stuff. Clicking it a third time when they are done makes them dig it to standing height and gives them the best accuracy and cover and the ability to duck down into it and hide form incoming fire and huge explosions. After they are standing height, you can dig sideways with the trench button to make proper trenchline. The advantage of foxholes is they are VERY fast to make and deeper ones give insane protection. Trenches give mobility and lead to the next tip. MANY of the smaller crew guns, particularly that nice 50cal can be deployed INSIDE a trench, they will lay the gun in front and hide down in the trench while firing it. The silly trucks that bring towed guns in have two soldiers inside that can do some basic shooting, or be placed to the sides to watch for infantry trying to flank your gun, or even get tossed into a building to just start the long procedure of fortifying it for later use. The trucks themselves can act as a bullet shield for a tank or mortar team in the open that could fire over it (or against a flank you likely dont have to shoot but want a little cover from for the gun team), or even to block up a bridge to slow vehicles (they can push the truck slowly). They are also a great way to get a couple guys somewhere useful (small 2-man sniper or bazooka teams and the like). Some of the tow vehicles also have loot inside, like fortifications (tank traps, mines, barricades) or just more ammo for the gun) always worth checking...plenty are just empty too. Larger ones, like the one that brings in the towed AA can actually hold a squad in the back, so you can call in the AA and a Squad, load the squad and when the match timer ends you can rush the whole pile of stuff forward with one vehicle. Ok, I could go on for days. Fun stuff to watch, Nice to see more USA play...it seems like everyone is germany in let'splays.
