It's been almost 7 years since I was in bootcamp, and I still remember every damn second of it haha, even remember my DI's. To those who are watching this to get an idea of what to expect in bootcamp, just know it has changed a lot, it is incredibly challenging, but worth every second. Oorah Marines.

Cryptic Killer Stay loud, keep your chin up, eyes forward, move with a purpose, and stay motivated. There will be A LOT of drill (marching) so, get used to that. Listen to what the DI's will tell you, and you will have no problems with the drill. You can easily shoot expert at the range if you listen to the range instructors. Also, get ready for a lot of people to be screaming in your face. It sounds simple, but it's a huge change. Just stay motivated, and remember why you're there, and you will have no problems. :)

I'm very thankful for our military and nothing I say or do can ever truly demonstrate. My father was and MP and though I never enrolled he instilled what he learned in me and I carry that discipline with me every day and it makes me thankful that we have these brave men and women protecting this amazing country in these very turbulent times.

I have been living in Mexico City for the past 3 months (Dual Citizen), and I was a little nervous about going back to Arizona and enlisting because I did not know what to expect or anything else of that nature. However thanks to this video, I feel more comfortable about returning and enlisting, not to mention motivated . If everything goes well, God-Willing I will be part of the United States Marine Corps.

Bro, I am in the same predicament. All you really need to do is prove to your recruiter that you have no problems with your respiratory system as of today versus when you were a child, and you shall be set. I too had asthma at a young age, but now it isn't a problem and I am now a pooled waiting for boot camp.

If you ever get off my Island. you better get off my grass,I loved the ownership stuff my this my that. I was coming out of Detroit on I-96 west bound in my Semi. Trucks are not allowed in the left lane but I was in a hurry so i took the left lane and passed soon after I was pulled over by a trooper and as soon as I jumped down and was walking back to him he said what are you doing in my left lane? I smiled and said Marine Corps, he asked how did I know he had been in the Corps? I said the ownership BS he busted out laughing and just gave me a verbal warning about the left lane.

I just don't want to be the average joe in the army and I feel the marines will make me feel like I've actually accomplished something.

Do you want to specialize in kicking ass? If so then go Marines. Nothing dishonorable about the Army though. Marines are aggressive, violent, and tough as nails. They're job is to take a lot of abuse and kill the enemy. Your decision can be made by deciding in what way are you prepared to serve your country. Personally I think the Army would be a better choice if you're planning a long term career.

Ultimate american fighters unreal. They are poor kids. They need to make some cash and get a military uniform. Just don't give yourself ongoing voice of propaganda. If you do that, you will be just some professional's dinner. That professionals are Iraqies and Palestians. They just fight for what they own before. Before thievers came their lands. Like vietnam, like native america, like afghanistan, like japan. What clue you need? Then i can give you really.

I see a lot of people comparing the Marines & the Army in the comment section.. let me start by saying the fact that people even compares the Marines (smallest branch in the military) to the Army (biggest branch in the military) says the Marines are the better branch! The Marines is like the Special Ops Branch of the military because every Marine is a rifleman but every soldier is not, anybody can be a soldier but not anybody can be a Marine & that's facts, they're not the smallest branch for no reason.. now as far as population of coarse the Army got it, which makes them more versatile than the Marine Corps & the Army has more technology but im not talking about that im talking about when it comes to "boots on the ground" straight up man power, the Marines make their livings off that they are the modern day Spartans.. don't get me wrong the Army has the Rangers & Green Berets but the Marine Corps has MARSOC "Raiders" & not only the Marines has a Special Ops but their whole branch is so combat oriented that the whole Corps could be a Special Force compared to the Navy, Air Force & Army the Combat Training is just that much intense compared to those other branches & the culture is just so battle ready! For example if I did 4 years in the Marine Corps & wanted to switch branches, no matter what branch I want to switch to I wouldn't have to participate in their Boot Camps but if its vice versa you would have to go through Marine BCT no matter what that tells you how rough Marine BCT really is the only thing worst than that is Special Forces training & we all know how bad that is! The Marines are basically the face of the military. Who you see guarding the White House? Marines. Who the President salutes before he gets on his private jet? Marines. Who stands besides the President when he is giving his important speeches? Marines. There's a reason for that! Its a reason why they have these giant egos because of all the pain, suffering, blood, sweat & tears they had to endure to earn being labeled a Marine & they know most couldn't go through what they been through physically & mentally to have a chance to walk in their shoes & earn that title! you join the Army as a soldier, you join the Navy as a sailor, you join the Air Force as a airman (or whatever the fuck the Air Force call themselves) but you got to literally earn the title of being a Marine & if you don't your not graduating BCT, they don't call it the "few & the proud" for no reason.. the USMC is hands down the best fighting force in the world! & they also has the best uniforms in the United States Military, dress uniforms & combat unifroms

In boot camp, any (yes/no) question gets either "Yes, Sir" or "No, Sir." In boot camp, it's almost always "Yes, Sir" when it's a question. "Aye, Sir" is actually "Aye Aye, Sir" but it's said quickly to where it really should sound more like "Icer," can be thought of as, "I understand; I will comply," and is used in response to commands and sometimes statements when a response of acknowledgement is expected. Last one is more of a nuance that is picked up after a while.
