If you have served in, or have been following the armed forces over the last 30 years, than you know the doctrine of "Service Inter-operability" also called "Joint Forces" operability is nothing new. The concept even has the different forces sharing bases together. Again, nothing new.

Where is the 85 Million Dollar Osprey that replaced the CH 46? BTW the Marines don’t have tanks anymore the Army has to support them. What can go wrong?

Boom didn’t even make it off the plane in a real life combat situation

It’s unlikely the USMC would even use Air insertion to deploy Marines in contested Air Space, my bet, they are assuming for this FTX that enemy SAM and MANPADs are very few in numbers or non existing. No one knows what a “real” combat situation will look like because thankfully it hasn’t had to be tested yet

Afghanistan was a hell of a WAR. Marines had a tough time going up the mountains. I think some training scenarios should be in mountains similar to Afghanistan.

The US thinks the next conflict will be island hopping against China and Urban warfare. I thinks it’s best for Marines to prep for Amphibious, jungle and urban warfare.

@@bdubbs can’t hurt to have a mountain division.
@lukelewis9165 Жыл бұрын
@@osamabagdadi5789 the USMC can’t afford to field a “mountain division” we have three active divisions (1st, 2nd, and 3rd MARDIV, and also 4th MARDIC but they are reserves) each division is already placed in strategic locations 1st in West Coast USA in Camp Pendleton 2nd in East USA at Camp Lejeune and 3rd Spread out across West USA and the Pacific rim. I suppose technically 1st could be a “mountain division” because of geography but to field a whole new division is just way outside of USMC budgets

I know this is an FTX.... but I really didn't like how these troops ditched their packs at the L.Z. And then maneuvered away to conduct their assault/raid. "YOU FIGHT HOW YOU HAVE PRACTICED, SO PRACTICE AS YOU WOULD ACTUALLY FIGHT."
@jacksonreeves7648 Жыл бұрын
That is how they would fight , you want them to clear buildings and maneuver under fire while carrying 80-100 pound pack? Hell no. They leave a security detail behind, most likely setting up a defensive position, and then send a couple platoons out at a time on patrol. How it’s always been done bro.
@jacksonreeves7648 Жыл бұрын
Looking back those patrol elements are fire team sized , their only conducting fast and maneuverable patrols to secure the surrounding area or possibly go after small positions of interests. Guarantee the LZ isn’t any more than a few klicks back the other direction anyway.
