thank you to the usga for uploading this. the blimp noise is terrible! i'm not bothered by the brown fairways or greens; it's closer to how the rest of the world -- especially links golf -- plays. i do think the greens were in rough condition; was that the usga trying to keep players near par? too bad for dustin; it does make his masters win this year that much sweeter b/c you can see his growth as a player and person, esp on the greens.
@clarinetjo4 жыл бұрын
I hope they will return to this course soon. It was one of the best location from recent years. The discussion about green conditions is weird. This is golf not gardening. When you're in june in Northern Hémisphère, you have a pretty big chance to see grass being more brown than green. Nothing wrong with that.

I will always remember DJ's family jinxing him just off the green on 18. I also remember DJ getting a bit exasperated with Jason Day when Jason Day asked him if he wanted Jason Day to finish or mark. How tf does DJ only have one major?!! There is no facet of his game that’s just a clear weakness. Even his putting is a B at worst. That final hole was just a result of the worst greens in US Open history
@robertrichards40574 жыл бұрын
Take a look at the putting stats any week on the pga tour. The guy that wins is always one of the best putters that week. A “B” putter has no chance. All the guys hit the hell out of the ball, always comes down to short game. 2015 Spieth was making unreal putts, has not been at that level since, and he has been rarely in the convo since.
@killapositionz23 жыл бұрын
Well he has 2 now but it's cause there are a lot of guys like that now. JT, Rahm, Dechambeau, Rory (when he's on), Koepka, etc... Also any of these guys can play amazing in all facets if they get hot for 4 days.
@desean34023 жыл бұрын
@@killapositionz2 I kinda agree with you but DJ is just better than those guys. JT is the clear number two in the world right now and winning majors clearly isn’t easy but no way should DJ have just 2. He’s way too good.
@killapositionz23 жыл бұрын
@@desean3402 He absolutely should have more you're right, but he choked Chambers Bay, got that hazard penalty at Whistling Straits, missed the masters in one of his best years cause he "fell down the stairs"... just a lot of weird things.
@desean34023 жыл бұрын
@@killapositionz2 that masters is one that stands out because his form going into it that year was just absurdly good. I just hope he runs off a streak of majors because if we look back at the end of his career and he has less than 4-5 I’d say he fell way below his talent threshold
