chesterfield is just a very OLD word, so even though we know it well enough for trivia, no one really uses it anymore lol. The ONE thing I'll push back on is I live in southern ontario, and I legitimately have never heard people say "poutin" and usually just pronounce it the more anglocized way. So it's more of a regional thing I think. Very cute video overall :)

that was because even thought the real smarties (being UK produced) existed before the american ones, by the time the real smarties were exported to america they already had their terrible ones, so they had to be renamed (also funny note, is even though Mars is an american company, they don''t have Mars bars in the states because they were deemed too similar to a competitors brand)

Didn't bring any Mars bars this time, though there were hickory sticks. They seemed to go over well enough, but no one loved or hated them enough to include their reactions in the video. Gravy fries with cheese, is not the same (or at least any time I saw it in the states it wasn't). It's got to be big squeaky cheese curds for it to be poutine. It makes all the difference. I’m a few days behind, so you might not see this, but I’m curious about this soap flavoured gum!! I wanted to ask what it is called. I’m from N.Ireland, but I’m living in Australia at the moment and there are quite a few international sweet/lolly/candy shops here for all the expat communities! So, I was curious to see if I could find your gum here. Do you get a sweet called Parma Violets in Canada? They are British and one of my favourites as a kid. Any time I have given them to friends from overseas, they would make the same kind of comments that the Americans were making about your gum! So, it got me wondering if perhaps they are the same or similar flavours. Oh, Parma Violets look like they are the same kind of sweet as American Smarties, only they are all light purple/violet in colour! If you haven’t heard of them or you haven’t tried them, you should look to see if you have a British food shop in Canada as you will likely find them there. Also, I need to try a Coffee crisp! At first I thought that Dave said Toffee Crisp, which is a British chocolate bar, and also delicious, but I haven’t heard of a coffee crisp before, so now I am going to have to search all the international lolly shops online to see if I can find some!

The gum is called "Thrills" You can get a good look at the packaging at the 00:26 mark so you know what you are looking for. Good luck on your quest! I had not heard of the Parma Violets, but there is a Taste of Britain shop not far from where I live, so I will check it out! Thanks!
