My father was one of those heroes. Navy Corpsman, HM1 PO1. Small dude, well respected. Company 159, 1990-2010. Recipient of the "Outstanding award" by a Soviet general who visited now de commissioned (I think?) Recruit Training Command San Diego Calif. Thank you dad for your service so I can write this freely.

Instead of going to college, firefighting, and nursing ten years ago, I wish I would have went and tried out for any special ops in the military...people say "no regrets", well let me tell you I regret not going. My older brother who is a Marine told me not to go and I listened to him, that was my mistake. If you want to go for something in your life, and you know you'll regret it if you don't, then go for it, don't let people influence your decisions. Better to try for what you want then to live a life you don't give a shit about. Hope this helps somebody who needs help to make a decision. And do it before you get married and have kids
