SAY NO TO TIPPING!!! I'm American and I HATE tipping... How can you make your customers go through this? Just pay your workers and let your customers enjoy the experience.

As long as you're happy with bad service and an increase in prices. Tipping is not hard. Buy 20 dollars of food give the waiger a 5, simple.

Tipping culture is really offensive and disgusting especially when you learn the origin of tipping. Demand a living wage, US workers, instead of twisting the arms of customers!

You're telling me that health services workers (one of the most expensive things in the US) are asking for tips? I just can't

I no longer tip for "good service", I see it as subsidizing their income, and I am comfortable with that. I support paying folks a living wage and would love to see the end to tipping in the US. In New Zealand, a living wage is $26/hr and while not mandatory, businesses who do can go through a robust accreditation process so they can use the Living Wage Employer logo and call themselves a 'Living Wage Employer'. This gives customers an easy way to see those companies who do pay a living wage and support them, even if it means paying higher prices for goods and services. This would be a good step for states and municipalities to adapt. It would give customers the option to easily know who they want to support and pressure other business to join suit. The problem we face in the US is that every credit card processor has now adopted the 15, 20, 25% tip boxes. Employees would hate their employer if they opted for a processor who does not have the boxes. But you will not find any who offer no tip boxes, so we see that the credit card processors are at the forefront of this and both employers and employees are totally on board.

Yes, no one cares if Zambia has a tipping culture or not.

@@cth12345you might not know this but there are more countries than Zambia, and she didn't mention countries where tipping is not allowed at all.

Pretty much goes for all. That American tipping culture is slowly spreading, why more countries is starting to object. Who owns the business, pays the workers. Otherwise we would all be business owners. Business owner doesn't mean "I'll find a venue to rent, hire staff, costumers will be paying directly"

I'm Irish and I lived in Canada for 2 years. I remember telling people that I tip 10% and I thought that was really generous given irish tipping culture. The other Canadians looked at me in shock 😅 turns out that's a bad tip Over there! I upped my default to 15% after that.

In Brazil, there is tipping. But it always 10%. So it is more like a service fee. You can tip more, but only if it is something that was above and beyond or you are feeling generous.

And the pretty waitress triples her salary monthly which makes the tipping system not a compensation but a huge bonus, while male waiters probably heavily rely on their tips. yea I can see how it's justified /s

More leftist so-called solutions. I bet this 8itch never worked at a tipping job in her life. More elitists fixing the world's problems but cause chaos.
@johnbattle7518

Same old thoughtless argument by the woke left. 1. If you raise wages, food prices will inevitably go up as well, so tipping gives you greater control of what you pay. 2. Most waiters in busy restaurants quit if you get rid of tipping. This has already been tried in NYC and failed miserably. Restaurants couldn't hold on to wait staff because experienced waiters left and the newer ones would stay long enough to be able to put it on their resume then leave for a tipping restaurant because they made more money. 3. Delivery drivers won't use their personal cars. Therefore, restaurants would have to pay for a car, insurance, and maintenance plus the hourly rate of the driver. Yeah, good luck with that. Basically, the left elitists with all their solutions yet again fail to grasp the people they are supposedly trying to help only hurt. There's a reason Uber threatened to leave California when they tried to "FIX" UBER. HERES A SOLUTION for Leftists, Stay out of it You cause more problems than solutions. Look at the border NYC and California, for example.

Wages will go up, yes. That's the point. Inflation is differential. it is about who holds power. The minimum kwage gives more power to workers by guaranteeing a minimum. The minimum wage is tool to control how money is distributed in society. And yes if you allow slave labor corporations will choose that. As they have shown.
