Also, here's some more important tips about U turning, always be holding the down arrow this whole process too. You hold the brake button on the ground without holding the down arrow button, you will lose all your reserves and you'll come to a stop on the track and it'll get really ugly. Also, as long as you're holding the down arrow button while holding brake, you'll never lose your reserves. The down arrow button will be held for the entire process of the U turn. Never hold brake (square) until you hold down arrow. Never release your finger off the down arrow until you've released off the brake (square).

Yes, worth also mentioning U-turning is also possible on the ground without hopping, different use case mostly (safer though slower and good for relic time trials).

On PS4 you can just re-assign button actions with the down button on the d-pad and L2 . So that when you want to u-turn, you can just hold down L2 and turn the analog stick left or right. This is much easier to do than having to switch between using the analog stick and the d-pad. (Good video btw).

Yeah, but then you're using X to drift, and I don't wanna do that. I'll stick with PS1 control scheme... albeit without Right Stick functionality.

hes talking about custom controls. if you got to settings you can find it there. you can change your controllers controls and make custom button layouts.

You should make video of tips about Oxide times For me i only did N. Tropy and got him Just hope that we don’t have new racer behind developer times(skin, Kart or paintjob i hope) Cause while N. Tropy times are easier then Vello and Oxide times Tiny Temple took me entire day

When I heard from this long ago, I never use it cause its not my style at all. I mainly use multi tap air braking cause its more easier and takes precision. Especially in drift class too

Hey he didn't mention that you can also do this with the analog stick. Basically when you u turn, you must hold down before you hold the brake button. If you just press brake, as you know you'll lose all your speed. For me I just pull back on the analog stick, hold brake, then slide the analog stick left or right depending on the turn but always making sure the analog stick is held back. Then when you finish, make sure you let go of brake before you let go of pulling back the analog stick
