One of the few Vertigo Your shows to have a lively solo in Bullet the Blue Sky. Yes!

I don’t think we fully appreciate these videos from the Vertigo Tour. This is before the phone had high quality cameras on them. The guys at U2 RMW were going all over to get these videos! Almost 20 years later and I’m still grateful for their work. Thanks guys!

I am freaking out! This was the show my son Dan brought me to on my birthday. What I didn't know is he had set up with Bono in advance to celebrate. They had become friends years before,my son was known as Tattoo Dan because of his many U2 Tattoos. Bono had brought him up on stage at many shows thru the years. Before the show Dan brought me to the back of the venue to do a meet & greet that Bono & the boys were known to do. The entourage appeared, the vehicles driving down into the tunnel parking area. Suddenly Bono and his bodyguard appeared, walking up toward the awaiting fans. Then something amazing happened...he walked up directly toward us,me actually and said hello & put his arm around my shoulder & asked what I was doing for my birthday!!! I was numb, shock really. Bono me & Dan & the bodyguard following behind walked back down into the garage!!!! I replied..."we came to see the show!" Anyway to make a long story short because I could go on forever,Bono instructed his bodyguard to take us into the hall & he brought us to the stage, front & center before other fans filed in. If you watch & listen he wished me happy birthday, sang 'with or without you' to me and mentioned that my son brought me there for my birthday. It was a magical night. I had lost my Dad in the beginning of the year & this coming at the end of the year was the lift of my spirits I needed so badly.

I’m in no way shape or form complaining here but I remember finding out during the Vertigo Tour that Streets no longer had the explosion of the bright lights during the intro. I’ve seen U2 live during the day and I guess back then I didn’t really notice but I still had an awesome time. I’m glad they brought that famous moment back 💙
