You clowns don't know what you are talking about. Look at the passion in Bono - as his sings the song and urges his best friends on - especially from 3:40 onwards. This version of Bad is filled with pure emotion. I love it. It's all about the emotion with U2. Always has, always will. It's not always about which night Bono always hit the highest notes.

OMG, I was there! That was my first concert. I was 12 years old. In my opinion, this is one of the best versions of Bad, but I think the one of Cleveland (2001) is the best. Anyway, great song =) Viva U2 y viva Chile mierda!

According to u2 folk lure Bono severely injured his voice on the love town tour and felt the effects of that somewhat on zootv tour second leg,... but mainly on this tour. Us U2 fans like myself started to see improvement in the vertigo tour. that's a long time recovery period

Emocionante version. Bien por Chile,los envidio. En el 98 fui las 3 veces que tocaron en Bs As.Tocaron este tema en la 1er noche, no tengo recuerdo de haberme emocionado pero seguro no habra sido tan emoc como esta. SI me emocione mucho en la 3er noche con un Snippet de The Fly en Discotheque, que bueno, bajenlo de algun lugar, busquen eso o Slow Dancing (unica vez en vivo), Gracias por ese regalo, como Love is Blindness en el Vertigo Tour. I have to disagree. Much like Streets on Popmart, they tweaked this song to give it unique vibe which fit the tour. It was different for sure, especially in the lower key to suit Bono's voice, but this performance is in no way less powerful than most versions I've heard. Worst version of Bad is actually from the Joshua Tree tour in Tempe where they didn't play the climax of the song (no Edge solo).

@montyvox0510, I think it's technically just as fast, but sounds slower for 2 reasons. 1. Larry's not playing the upbeat military-style snare part in the beginning like Rattle & Hum or Wide Awake In America, he's more laid back, just playing the hi-hat cymbal. 2. Adam's not playing his usual bum-ba-da-bum-bum, rhythmic part - he's more laid back, too, playing 1 note per beat instead of triplets & near-triplets.

Dortmund in 84' is my favourite version... Live Aid one is great too, and Joshua Tree Tour versions were decent. But sadly Popmart was a time where Bono's voice was fading and was a tour that didn't really follow up a great album like the Joushua Tree Tour did, or the Zoo TV era.
