Thanks for uploading this, Bill. I watched your documentary in the Gallery 110795 in Sarajevo. The whole experience in that museum itself was very touching. But as I watched the documentary and saw the title I noticed that I came across it before when I did some research about the war and I always wanted to watch it but I just couldn't get my hands on that DVD. I was so happy that I finally was able to see that documentary in the city where it all occured. It was such an intense momen. The scene where the father holds the dead body of his baby was heartbreaking.

U2 je moj omiljeni bend. Bono je dobar covek, sjajan umetnik i humanitarac. Medjutim, njegov politicki angazman uopste ne cenim. Volim pesmu Miss Sarajevo i vrlo dobro znam o cemu govori. Ali, Bono nije iskren umetnik do kraja jer da jeste, napisao bi i pesmu "Miss Yugoslavija". Zasto? Zato sto je '99 godine bombardovana cela jedna zemlja u srcu Evrope. Cela jedna zemlja. U tom ratu je takodje bilo zrtava i cela zemlja je porusena. Toplog i osecajnog Bona nigde. Ni da zucne ni jednu jedinu rec protiv nepravde koja je ucinjena jednom narodu. Nista, tajac. Je l' jedna zrtva bitnija od druge? Bono kaze da nije. Zasto onda po svom dobrom obicaju nije napisao ni ovu pesmu veliki i osecajni Bono?Tu me je potpuno razocarao. Strasno je ono sto se dogodilo u Sarajevu. Zao mi je svake zrtve. I neka je napisao pesmu. Ali me boli kad covek koji je u svojim pesmama opisao mnoge nepravde po svetu namerno preskoci jednu veliku nepravdu na kraju xx veka. To nije iskreno vec vrlo promisljeno od njega. Kako je i mogao da je napise kad je njegov ortak Bili Clinton covek koji je i pritisnuo crveno dugme te 99'. Na kraju, smatram da on generalno cesto nije bio upucen u pricu obe strane, vec samo jedne sto ne moze nikada dovesti do pune istine.

Pjesma je nastala 1995.... Bono je svasta nesto ali nije prorok, tako da ga se ne moze kriviti sto nije mogao pretpostaviti sta ce se desitit 1999.

Niste me razumeli. Ja sam rekao da '99 god. nije napisao nista, a mogao je i morao.

Vi ne postujete zrtve cim smatrate da postoji opravdanje za bombardovanje. Tako bismo isto mogli reci da je postojalo opravdanje i za granatiranje Sarajeva. Ali nije. Nema opravdanja kad nevini stradaju. Mislim i na Sarajevo i na Jugoslaviju. Kada slusate/citate vesti dobro oslusnite i razmislite svojom glavom. Velike sile vam plasiraju vesti onako kako njima odgovara. Milosevic je prvo bio garant mira i stabilnosti na Balkanu da bi taj isti Milosevic u jednom trenutku postao balkanski kasapin, secate se. Izetbegovic i Tudjman su bili dobri momci, ali samo zato sto su odgovarali Zapadu za njjihove ciljeve. Mogli su i oni biti losi momci. Cinjenica je da su sva trojica bili zlikovci. Sta je dovelo do bombardovanja? "Masakr" nad 'neduznim" albanskim civilima u selu Racak na Kosovu i Metohiji. To je zvanicno saopstenje za svet. Medjutim, istina je malo drugacija. Odluka o bombardovanju je doneta godinu dana ranije. Oni su trazili samo nesto cime ce da ubede svet kako su zlikovci Srbi to zasluzili. Ali, sta se zapravo dogodilo. Ti 'civili' su zapravo teroristi koji su ubijeni u razmeni vatre sa Srbima pa onda preobuceni u odecu civila i baceni tamo gde su i pronadjeni. Onda Vilijam Voker dolazi i otkriva "strasnu istinu"svetu. Iiii onda, predstava tj. bombardovanje moze da pocne. Skoro je zena koja je bila u timu Vokera otkrila da se u Racku nije dogodio nikakav masakr vec ono sto sam vam gore napisao. Postoji i snimak o tome na YT-u. Na kraju, uvek mislite svojom glavom. Well, it's Bono's favorite song. Likely in part due to his [his dad's] love for opera, and the whole message and context of the track, which either seems to have gone over your head, or you just haven't accepted the fact that they quite enjoy killing the mood to promote their activism. "Am I buggin' you? I don't mean to bug ya." Musically this song is very much in the vein of MotD, One Tree Hill, 40, Grace, One Step Closer, etc... and if you listen to their countless b-sides I'm sure you'll realize this isn't their worst song, otherwise I doubt you like all the others listed. Granted it's not the best, but the lyrics are half of what makes a song a song.

Yes but it's had it's place in time on tour during the PopMart Tour. Not sure why they need to bring it back on this tour ? Supposed to be the JT 30TH anniversary. They would be better off playing some JT b-sides instead.

Just because it's the 20th anniversary no reason to bring it back and re-title it Miss Syria. Most people would rather her some JT b-sides or some other rarely played songs than this.
