I was there! She was indeed awesome. I think I'm in love. The "Stephanie" segment was the best part of an amazing show.

no need for words for this video, other than only U2 has the class, the cool, the mojo to do what God gave them to do and that is to enjoy what they do, and we the fans are eternally grateful for that cause no one does it better!

U2 is going back to basics... That's awesome!!! It remembers me of The Joshua Tree tour, when also a fan guitar player joined the band for one song.

The meek may inherit the earth, but life belongs to the bold. What a great experience to have been there live to see this happen. Stephanie was the highlight of a fantastic concert. Stephanie - you rocked it! The meek may inherit it, but not until the brave are finished with it. Bravo!

Best thing about it other than her talent is that she actually held herself together and actually looked part of the band. Amazing

Talk about talent! She's only 15, got picked at random to dance on stage during Mysterious Ways, and then Bono sees her sign "U2 +Me +Guitar = Dream" and then they start jamming these songs! Stephanie is going places!

Chris Stewart Thanks for the lovely comment! I'm 28, by the way. :) Part of me felt like a teenager again when I was up there, though... I fell in love with the band at the age of 12, just after the release of All You Can't Leave Behind. I started learning how to play the guitar shortly thereafter, and the rest is history!

No offense to Stephanie. This isn't tiny talent time. This is an expensive night out for fans of the band. It's not karaoke night. Save it for your friends.
@StephVanLinden9 жыл бұрын
Baby Irene No offense taken (I have a pretty thick skin). I have to say, though... If you have a problem with fans playing with the band, then you obviously picked the wrong band to be a fan of. ;) They pull fans up to play instruments with them quite frequently (especially on this tour), and seem to thoroughly enjoy it every time they do. Edge and Adam even took time out of their schedules to play with a tribute band the other night in New York. They love their fans, and they clearly love giving back to them when they can. And yeah, I get it, it's an expensive night out... I flew all the way from Newfoundland to see them, for instance. They've been my favourite band and primary musical inspiration for the past fifteen years of my life, so I'm more than happy to shell out the bucks to see them. And you know what? When they pulled up Acrobat (U2 tribute band) to play on night one in Toronto, my first thought wasn't "gee, I spent all this money to see U2, not some tribute band" -- it was "how freaking AWESOME and generous are these guys? They pulled up an entire tribute band to play with them!"
@rigoletguy9 жыл бұрын
+Baby Irene What an asinine, immature, negative thing to say. You witnessed a young lady's dream come true, you saw the human side of a band you like well enough to shell out money to see, and if you listen closely she doesn't miss a note. Stay home next time they're in town and save your money for therapy.
@babyirene31889 жыл бұрын
Really? Do you think for a second when U2 were in their prime their fans would have put up with that? Is your life really long enough to put up with that? If you think U2 don't do that in every city to kill 10 minutes and generate a lot of cheap goodwill you're truly high. It sounds like you, my dear, are living in the right era! Enjoy!
