I love this song. I love this album and for 20 years I've loved this band and I'm proud to say it (it seems in vogue to be a U2 basher by lots of people for some odd reason!?!). They have decided to play more intimate venues this time around to suit the personal nature of the album which is an album of songs. You are more than a cynic and I can't imagine you even like or enjoy music, in fact you don't know much about music in all fairness. I have a wide variety of tastes, I love the Beatles, Tom Waits, Stones, The Smith,s JDivison, Televison, Ramones, Sex Pistols,Sonic Youth, Smiths, MBV, Captain Beefheart, Mozart, Abba, Belle and Sebastian, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Nirvana etc etc and I can tell you this U2 sit comfortably and in most cases exceed those fine artists in terms of music and songs.
