A somewhat disappointing concert from "The Best Band On The Planet". All due to a lack-luster "non- energetic audience" This was my 18th U2 concert dating back to 1985's The Unforgettable Fire Tour. Man!!!!!.... Fans used to "go crazy" at their concerts... clapping... singing... dancing... jumping up and down... waving their hands in the air... etc., etc. But now it seems like roughly 20% - 30% of the audience is filming their concerts with their piece of shit, annoying as all hell smartphones. (Something that requires a steady hand and very little movement on the part of the person who's doing the filming!) And... well... in my opinion... that kinda crap can ruin a concert. On a different note, the boys from Dublin really brought their "A-Game"... and did everything possible to blow the roof off the Boston Garden! Too bad 20% - 30% of the audience had to F#@K it up for everyone else! My condolences to anyone who never got the chance to see the band in the 80's, 90's and early 2000's. Read more Show less

ndugu77 I went to two shows in Chicago and had two totally different experiences. The first show I was in the nosebleeds and I was one of the only ones in my section standing and singing to the songs. I don't remember any other U2 concert I've been to where this has happened. The other show I was in GA one person back from the catwalk and everyone was more into the show and having a blast. I don't have the patience to take a video of the show mostly because I'm trying to enjoy it and be in the moment, but I did take a picture here and there...it was hard not to being so close.

I think the issues is that U2’s core audience is getting older, and their bodies may not be able to jump up and down as much as they used to, U2’s audience is getting older with them and they are not gaining new young members as much as they used to.
